We were a family of six who stayed three nights in the movenpick . We had a great time. On arrival we were greeyed with fresh lemonade. Check in was seamless with a great upgrade, which actually made our trip. We stayed in the Royal villa with its own private pool. We spent nearly all our time in the pool. The kids loved it, we were the only ones in villa complex, the rooms were very clean with great house keeping. We availed of half board which was well worth the money. The food was great a plentiful, breakfast excellent with different buffet dinner each night. The facilities were excellent and clean. It was well worth the visit we will return again.
"A mixed bag"
I find it really difficult to review the Mövenpick, as its a very mixed bag in my opinion. On one side I very much enjoyed my 2 nights stay there, but on the other hand I think the value for money is not good (its too expensive for what you get). The positive things: - the setting of the Resort: its like a small village, with very nice gardens - the "summer pool": its big, there is a fake beach, its a pretty spectacular infinity pool, and overall the best part of the Resort - friendly staff all over the Resort - the location right on the Dead Sea - the breakfast buffet The negative things: - the rooms are tastefully decorated but a bit old and tired and need some refub - the aircon in my room was not working properly, I reported it and it go "fixed" (so that it stopped heating / but it was still not cooling properly) - in a location where you've got sunny and warm weather 11 months of the year, the restaurant where breakfast and dinner (if you have halfboard) is served, is only indoors ! No outdoors seating ! - prices for extras (lunch, drinks) are really high - if you have halfboard and would like to have dinner in one of the other restaurants that belong to the Resort, you have to pay the full price there and loose your buffet di. Er - acess to Zara Spa (to the general areas there) is 20 JD - so again, very expensive - small but important things like not having the toilet paper refilled in my room / having to wait 15 minutes to get a cup of Cappuccino at breakfast / the room not b
The resort is beautifully designed as a village. The staff is amazingly helpful and caring. A special thanks to Mr Abedrabo and Nawalef to take care of me during my stay. It is the perfect resort to enjoy the Dead Sea. The food in the Italian restaurant Luigi was awesome. Can only recommend this place for anybody to stay.
