"Great facilities "
Whilst in Jordan I had a day trip from Amman to the Dead Sea and used the Movenpick resort. The facilities are fantastic including the Dead Sea beach, its a little expensive however definitely worth the experience and make the experience even more memorable.
"Movenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea"
The room was excellent, The beach of the hotel was very good, the food at the hotel restaurant (breakfast) was very good even though they could add a little bit more vegetables. The service at the hotel was excellent specially from Mr. Hudai Abbas (the reception) and Miss Judi at the restaurant.
"Day pass - worth it."
We paid 35 dinars per person, which 12 goes to pool access and rest for lunch. We did not arrive before lunch so the honored the dinner. We could have spent that credit in drinks if we wanted to. The dead sea shore from here is very very nice. There is a lifeguard to help you, if your eyes get the salty water it is very difficult to open them, he will come to you in the water to wash your eyes with regular water. Also a shower is there and mud to put on your body. Very neat. There are several pools but only one is heated and since we went during winter, we went straight there after the dead sea. They have an infinity pool right before the dead sea, it has an amazing view. Love the construction style, service, high end hotel. We did not stay the night, just day pass. You get towels too when you go by the mid area pool, they will charge the credit from your card there. There is parking outside the hotel across the back street. good, no problems. We drove from Amman to here. Visit Madaba, Jesus baptism store and Mount Nebo before heading here. All in one day.
"Service is 5 star; Rooms need updating"
The Movenpick Resort is a well appointed resort, you do not need to leave the grounds for a sensational holiday! We walked the grounds daily, sat by the Dead Sea, was not game to dip my toe in (Winter). The buffet (I can hardly call it a buffet; it was a fine dining buffet) breakfast and dinner had a plethora of delicious offerings which changed each day/night. We took advantage of the spa, the cardamom tea on arrival was a highlight of our trip, we are yet to try to imitate it at home! Anything that you wanted or desired was no effort for the workers, even fetching things we were craving just to please us! The rooms were a reasonable size, the bathrooms were dated; I am not sure if they tried to theme the rooms as rustic, it just did not sit well with us, however, this did not impact our stay.
The Moevenpick Dead Sea Hotel is one of the very best and most beautiful hotels in the Dead Sea area if not the best. My family and I come here very often and each time it is a wonderful experience. The Moevenpick is indeed one of the best hotels with wonderful and professional staff. A special thanks to Mr Odai Abbas ( reception) and Mr. Hani Ajouri ( room service). Excellent and professional work. Thanks to all the Moevenpick staff for making our visit so special.
