"Waste of money "
I have no idea how this place has retained its 5 star rating. It is certainly not of 5 star standard by any stretch of the imagination. I am unsure where to start so will put my grievances in bullet point form. - in our first room the bathroom reeked to high heaven of strong, stale urine. Thus said they would get the cleaners to clean it again. When we returned to the room the smell was still there. In the end we demanded to move rooms as I had no confidence in the overall standard of hygiene. The next room was musty smelling but I didn't have the energy to complain anymore. - the place is overrun with stray cats who will beg for food whilst you are eating your lunch. - the pools are freezing and cloudy with filth. There is no quiet pool area as they blast ridiculously loud music all day. It does not make for a relaxing experience. The 'adult' pool was full of boozing Arab teenagers. I honestly felt as though I was in Magaluf at times. The pool areas are all in dire need of refurb. - the grounds are poorly maintained and grubby looking. The jacuzzi is brown with dirt and has random wires coming out of it. - the bathroom in the bedrooms was shabby and in need of update. There was not enough tea and coffee in the bedroom for two people. - food is ridiculously overpriced for the quality. - wifi is patchy - the Dead Sea area is dangerous. Why they have not built a small jetty to allow people to enter the water safely I really do not know. My husband cut his foot badly on sharp rocks entering the water. - the breakfast buffet was stone cold. - staff need some proper training on how to deliver quality 5 star service. We received no apology for our urine stenched bathroom. - we struggled to find parking despite being day guests. We had to get irritated with staff for them to take us seriously and find us a space within walking distance of the hotel. I really do not know how this place is getting away with charging what it does and feel completely robbed. There are limited options on the Dead Sea but I would never stay here again. If you are used to 5 star luxury I'm afraid you will be bitterly disappointed! It was the worst hotel of our week in Jordan and we started our week in a 2 star backpackers! I will be writing to Movenpick personally to share my views.
"Very nice hotel in a special place"
We had 2 regular rooms (connecting) in the village which were very nice. Not high tech, state of the art but more "authentic/classical". The food is nice but like most places in Jordan, you are best off with local/Lebanese style food. The cleaning could be improved so don't be too picky about the floors etc. They used to have Trinitae products in the rooms but they have unfortunately been discontinued.
Very nice Stay, Memorable and amazing, nice staff , the front office team and staff were very helpful, neat and friendly. nice views on the beach, the swimming pool is perfect and very comfortable, housekeeping staff are very friendly as well

Amaizing staff wonderful views.
I ve been here 4 times and will come with pleasure again. Authentic beautiful hotel, made as Arabian village, have one of the best spa of Middle East (Zara spa), few really good restaurants, choose premium room with own private pool and book Ayurvedic massage at the spa. Sea is amazing as well.
