"Chic hotel, great service!"
We stayed at the Myconian Ambassador for four nights of our honeymoon. This hotel defines the word chic. It's like a Miami hotel in Mykonos Greece. You walk into the lobby and it has all white walls and tablet based computer kiosks, all of the female staff are in white chic attire. The hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful. When we arrived we were given a glass of cherry juice and one of the hotel staff took us to our room as the bell boy brought our luggage. We paid for an ocean front room and we got a partial view room. Normally we don't complain, but it was our honeymoon so we figured we would mention it to them. The hotel manager was so accommodating, he immediately acted upon our concern and didn't want to stop until we were happy. He had one of the female staff members show us two other upgraded rooms one with a jacuzzi on the balcony and the other with a private pool on the balcony. When we gratefully accepted one of the rooms he asked if we were 100% happy and if not then he didn't want us to settle. That was the service we continued to get for the rest of our stay at the Myconian ambassador. They sent a shuttle bus to pick us up and drop us off at the airport, which was a beautiful new clean bus. The hotel was a three minute walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay at the Myconian Ambassador!
"September 2016 Visit"
We just returned to London after a week's stay in the Myconian Ambassador. Pick-up - I sent the hotel an email the night before we left from Gatwick, requesting a pickup. The email response the morning of the flight was fine, confirmed pick up from the airport and it worked very well. We were picked up, along with other guests, in a branded Mercedes van, leather upholstered and air conditioned. Great. Check in was fine - The hotel has a lot of staff at reception and a relaxing waiting area where you sit while you are processed. The whole thing was very easy. We were also advised that we were given a room upgrade. Probably due to the season ramp-down but it was a nice touch. The Room - The hotel is built into a mountainside and due to planning restrictions it needs to conform to the topography. This means that there are two sets of offset lifts and a walk of about 50m or so between the lift lobbies. It's not a problem at all but might take some extra time if your room is towards the typo of the hill. The room itself was great, very modern, open studio type with a nice deck and a jacuzzi. The bed was too soft for my liking but that is purely subjective. Pillows were great, which is often a sticking point in hotels. The rooms have a digital safe which works very well and is very intuitive. The minibar could have been about 5 degrees colder however as the white wine was a bit warm for my liking. Bar and Pool - The heard and soul of the hotel is a pool with great views and which is open to the bar and restaurant. The service is great and you need only look around to find a host of waiters with a great attitude and always with a solution in hand. Prices are Mykonos prices but if you are going there you know what to expect. Restaurant - We had dinner at the restaurant one night. In theory, the restaurant steps it up at night with its resident chef. I must say we were not too impressed in this department. We both come from Madrid and can probably rattle off a dozen mid-high end restaurants where you can eat better prepared food for less (about 150 euros + tip for two people). Overall we had a very nice tome at the Myconian Ambassador and briefly met the owner who kindly refilled our glasses of wine. The hotel is obviously a tightly run ship which puts customer service first, second and third on the pecking order. The client demographic is also nice, with no noticeable riff-raff. Would we go back' Certainly although if we were to return to Mykonos, we might try another of the Mykonian hotels of the collection.
Amazing hotel. The location is unbeatable where the beach is a 5 mins walk. Other beaches accessible via taxi boat which is a 5 mins walk too. Hospitality was above and beyond. Mike and his colleagues truly took care of every single detail for us; from a lovely upgrade, a welcome drink, celebrating our anniversary as well as providing us all the information we needed to explore the city. Breakfast was unbelievably amazing. The stunning views from the breakfast area all the view to the quality of food and variety of selections. Thank you for an unforgettable stay. We will come again.
"Anniversary trip to Greek Islands"
This hotel deserves its 5 star rating! The rooms are immaculate and have a modern feel. The breakfast is absolutely delicious with lots of options. The staff is extremely accommodating providing you assistance with any matter and great recommendations for places to see, bars and restaurants. You can tell that customer service is one of their top priorities. The pool is beautiful with comfortable lounges and waiters for food & drinks. Our room had an amazing panoramic view and they even upgraded us to a room with a hot tub - a nice touch! The location is great with a nice beach within walking distance. They handled any bookings we needed with getting an ATV or ferry tickets. It far exceeded any expectations I had and I had high expectations! Best, best hotel ever!
Ambassador is white as a cloud, that's why you feel in the sky. The overwhelming hospitality welcomes you to enjoy Mykonos, the architecture merges with the place making you feel part of a whole. I felt relaxed as at home, I'll be back soon.
