Loved our stay here. We were upgraded to a sea view room and were offered complimentary wine. :) Staff is friendly and helpful. Special mention to Afroditi (at reception) and Aggeliki( housekeeper) who decorated our room beautifully.
""Amazing Location-Facilities/staff with manner issues""
We arrived at the breathtaking lobby of Imperial Myvonian resort, for which the pictures that we saw on the sites cannot describe the outstanding beauty of the scenery.. We were welcomed from the bell boys and were guided to the front desk, where the members of the front desk Katarina-Apustolus-Alex treated us like a folk of ships and not like individuals..yelling at each other in front of us, like we were the reason of their problems..after their (unacceptable) "welcoming", they put their fake smiles on and she guided us to our rooms without being informed about anything but the free-poor-wifi and the complementary shuttle bus to the town..of course I don't have to say how neglected we felt when we informed the previous lady that we weren't satisfied with the room and needed to change(we were afraid that she will yell at us too). Anyway the next few days we stayed in that room and made our way into the resort by asking (it is a way of socializing-haha) the friendly staff of the pools Andreas, Harris and the hosts Irina-Thanus who made our stay peaceful and welcoming by all means. Additionally, the renovated facilities of the resort and the amazing scenery made everything softer. Tips of the review: taste the fresh grilled fish and stay away from the open jaccuzi..
The perfect hotel for honey moon. Everything was excellent, from the attendants to the food, which surprised being better than a lot of knowing restaurants in the island. Big rooms with amazing views!!!
"A few nights in Mykonos "
Stayed at hotel for 6 nights end of Sept / beginning October. The hotel arranges collection of you from the airport free and also provides a courtesy coach to take you into and back from Mykonos town centre. About a 20 min drive away. The hotel is located on a very steep hill overlooking Elia beach. It has its own area on the beach with sunbeds etc. The setting is wonderful. There are also a further 4 or 5 hotels on the complex where you are able to use their facilities too. They are all a little different which provides great variety. It would be helpful to have more information given to you at check in about this as it does rely a little on your own iniative to work some of this out. The hotel staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast are exceptionally high quality and variety and offer hot and cold options. There are so nany outdoor pools but be warned they are not heated and require some bravery ! There us also however an indoor pool. Our room had a couple of minor issues which were to do with maintainace which is the reason I have only given 4 stars. Whether it was to do with it being at the end of the high season or not I'm not sure but would have expected them to have been picked up prior to our checking into room. One issue still was not rectified by the end of our stay which was a little disappointing. However on the whole a fabulous place to stay, relax and enjoy
"The outstanding Myconian Imperial Hotel upgraded to Villa Ornos in the Myconian Villa Collection"
So how did we, Jim and Pam, celebrating our recent retirement, rate the Myconian Imperial Hotel and Resort on Mykonos Island' First, we booked our holiday at the Myconian Imperial Hotel through the excellent "Loveholidays" Web site. They were extremely helpfull, in booking us one of the Superior Deluxe Rooms with a Private Pool. We were aware when we booked our holiday, that this class of room was a bit older in appearance, and had not been refurbished like the rest of the hotel. However, Pam and I considered a room with its own private pool to be well worth the compromise. Our stay at the Myconian Imperial Hotel was a really wonderful experience, perfect to celebrate our signature event, and we loved it. The hotel staff at every level were the most polite, generous spirited and helpful we have ever experienced. The hotel setting, sea views and facilities are also excellent. However, after day four of our seven night stay, we felt we needed to bring to the attention of Alex - the Reservations Manager, a couple of minor issues affecting our accommodation that were concerning us, but were very minor and intermittent by nature. Alex, showed genuinely sincere concern at the thought of us not enjoying our stay at the Myconian Imperial Hotel in the manner he would routinely wish for all of his guests. Alex asked us if we would afford him some time to work something out, hopefully to our advantage, that might ensure we ended our stay at the Myconian Resort, totally happy and relaxed that we had enjoyed our holiday, feeling we had been well looked after, something that might encourage us to want to return. On day five of our stay, Alex called our room after breakfast, and asked us both to meet him in the hotel reception. Alex invited us to see some accommodation that was available in the Myconian Villa Collection, at the top of the most elevated part of the resort, accommodation he was pleased to offer us for the remainder of our stay at the Myconian Resort. Alex suggested we would probably like this accommodation very much indeed. Alex also warned us however, that if we didn’t like the new accommodation we were being offered, then there was nothing else he could do. The first impression we got as we entered the palatial reception of the Myconian Villa Collection, was one of an infectious array of welcoming smiles on the faces of the receptionists, all dressed in their elegant full length black gowns, gowns that appeared to glyde with them as they walked. Such reverence towards their guests in their strikingly elegant uniforms, conjured an image of absolute isolated exclusivity, a virtual re-enactment of an ancient hill-top monastic culture, an exclusivity few visitors to the Island of Mykonos, either get to witness, or even more rarely get to experience. On arrival at Villa Ornos, well, talk about needing a shovel to lift our jaws off the ground. We were invited to spend the last two nights of our holiday in this utterly palatial Villa, with an opulence you would have to see to believe. This villa sits in the most elevated part of the Myconian Villa Collection, and has, not one, but two superb, completely private infinity pools directly overlooking Elia Bay, at an elevation of about 50 metres above sea level. The Aegean Sea and coastal views are just stunning - absolutely breath-taking! The Aegean Sea views across Elia Bay also appear as a picture, from the foot of the ridiculously sumptuous bed, through the open french doors onto the villa terrace. You dream about this stuff! How lucky were we'' Someone posted a recent review about their experience while staying at the Myconian Imperial Hotel, and labelled Thanos, the Imperial Hotel Concierge, as the "James Bond" of Concierges, he was considered to be that suave. Well if that's true, then Alex, the Myconian Imperial Hotel Reservations Manager, must be "M", James Bond's Boss, because in addressing our minor concerns during our stay at the Myconian Imperial Hotel, then providing the perfect solution so advantageously in our favour, Alex demonstrated "M's" very subtle, but truly awesome powers of influence, he was genuinely that good! The result: We came home from our holiday at the Myconian Resort on the Island of Mykonos, with grins as wide as the wing-span of the plane we flew home on, having enjoyed one of the most wonderfully memorable holiday experiences of our lives. Thank you Alex, and all of the staff at the Myconian Imperial Hotel, and at the Myconian Villa Collection – We’re coming back!!
