"Incredible stay in Paradise!"
What can I say, this hotel is without a doubt the best hotel on the caldera in Oia! We personally loved the location not being right on the strip but only a few steps away. We stayed at the Mystique for a week, from the 19th-26th of October, in room 8. Room 8 has the greatest view and the hike up the steps isn't so terrible either, regardless of where you stay in Oia, you're going to hike up and down steps (great exercise)! That's the beauty of being on the Caldera, it's so worth it for the gorgeous views! Where the hotel is located there is almost no wind down there! It always felt like 80 degrees. The staff here are the most kind, welcoming, and friendly people, we really felt like we were apart of a family the whole stay. Personally, we really loved Sofia! Every time we went down to the pool she brought us ice water and some lemon ice sorbet and always greeted us with a warm smile :) Everyday in our room we had a new delicious snack! The rooms are very very nice, ours was very spacious, and very clean :) there are so many great things to say about this hotel, you just have to go and experience it for yourself! I cannot wait to come back to this hotel every year that we plan to come to Oia! Thank you to Emanuel and everyone there for taking such great care of us during our stay, we'll be back soon!
"Quality service and beautiful views"
The resort staff was very attentive to making sure our stay was pleasant. The first night when we were out to eat, there were rose petals on the bed. As a matter of fact, every time we came in the staff had a nice fresh snack left for us. Breakfast every morning was wonderful, and we checkout very early, so they packed us a sack breakfast to take along. Needless to say, we brought (2) 50 lb suitcases and thank God for the porters to tote them down the steps. This was our honeymoon, and Mystique made it memorable. We'll be back! The middle of October is the perfect time to come.
"Outstanding view and service"
If you are not prepared to walk up steps this is not the hotel for you. That being said the views were breath taking, the brunch was outstanding with more choices than almost any other hotel brunch we have been to and the room was spacious. We had a private outdoor space but not all rooms have this and be sure to ask for it. Santorini is an unbelievable place and this is as great place to stay.
"Amazing Views and Excellent Servicve!"
From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. There was a complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel. And all our bags were taken care of while we were checking in. Probably has the best views of the caldera in the whole of Santorini. We stayed in room 4 in the allure suite i believe, and we could see everything from our loungers on our porch. The restaurants at the Hotel were okay. If you're just looking for some lunch/dinner to eat i would recommend going into town, but if you want a special dinner with breath taking views then book a table at one of their restaurants. The only thing i would say to watch out for is that this place has a lot of stairs. But so does pretty much every other hotel in the area.
Stayed July 2016 - We were very impressed with this property, and it is of extremely high quality. We were picked up promptly at the airport by the hotel, and driven to the nearest access point. Many -if not most- hotels in Oia (ee-uh) do not have direct road access and significant stairs are involved. Mystique is no exception. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like distinguished guests and we were shown to our suite, with exceptional views. A few notes- this is not a hotel for those with limited mobility and with trouble walking on cobbled streets. To go into town, you walk up the equivalent of 75 steps. No problem for us, but maybe a problem for you. The exterior spaces of the rooms are not private, and I think you could say this applies to all rooms and suites. You actually have to walk through some peoples "balconies" to get to the restaurants. Our suite shared a balcony with another room, but there was a half wall. The other guests would have to pass by our room and plunge pool to access their room. This is not a "knock" on the hotel. This is just par for the course in Oia. I merely say this for education. Food: We ate at the main restaurant on our first night. We were one of three groups, and it was not crowded. Truth be told, the restaurant was very good, but the town of Oia (easily walkable) had some exceptional and reasonable restaurant. For breakfast, we also ate at the main restaurant. Only later did we find out the Captain's Lounge has the same breakfast menu in a more intimate setting. Breakfast was impressive, and I miss it. Staff: The type of staff you would hope for. Warm and helpful beyond words from the cleaning crews, to the front desk, to the wait staff. Room: Exterior spaces covered above. Views are out of this world. Our room had plenty of space. The shower required the ability to make a 2.5ft step over the wall of the deep tub. Very comfortable bed. Kids: Dont bring them. There is little for kids to do save the quiet pool. One family brought two young kids who proceeded to have a water balloon flight in the middle of the rooms/pool. They left balloon remnants everywhere that the staff was forced to clean - the father watched the whole time chain smoking and spitting. The staff was even nice to them, although truth be told, their stay seemed very short lived =) yay. Activities: We booked a sailing charter through the hotel. Probably the highlight of the trip and maybe the year. I would book everything through the hotel, including dinners. They were very helpful.
