"Nice little Boutique hotel in great location close to the gay scene"
Stayed here as a short stopover and loved the location, just a corner away from Singapore's gay bars and clubs. Cute little hotel in a historic building which even has a little (but beautiful) outdoor pool squeezed into the middle. Unfortunately, due to its location it's hardly ever getting any sun and the setup generally doesn't invite to stay there for very long so it's definitely more of a plunge pool. I booked the lowest rate through Starwood and got assigned the tiniest ever possible room they had which was comfortable but really felt almost claustrophobic, that small it was. I made sure my partner who traveled here only two weeks later, got a slightly more expensive and bigger room and he absolutely loved it so I would always recommend to go for one of the slightly bigger room categories. If you call/email them ahead, you can actually get assigned a specific room in your selected category as they are all different and mostly quite unique so worth doing as well!
"Arty, cool, well located"
Great hotel in a nice old street near Chinatown. Rooms are varied and interesting - mine had an outdoor bath! Portable wifi hotspot is a great bonus, pool is nice too. No breakfast at time of writing but recommend The Lokal at the top of the road.
"First staycation "
Pleasant staycation! Accessible with nearest mrt. Also very easily accessible to town area. Stayed in the samsui woman room. Is clean. Attic bedroom is very cool. Overall very spacious and had a relaxed staycation.
"A mix of old and nee"
Beautiful pool immaculate rooms and excellent service. Who needs more. Complimentary drinks and snacks in fridge. Old film cameras barber chairs sculpture and most rooms have a different flair. Beautiful neighborhood to wander through.
"Great location and brilliant staff"
We booked the Aqua Room and were not dissapointed. The room was lovely. The rooms are decorated by local artists and ours was dominated by a huge glass shower/bath cubicle that formed the headboard of the bed. You could shower or bath and see the whole room or, indeed outside onto the street (it is on the second floor). Maybe not to everyone's taste but it hit all the right notes with us. The staff are superb and helped us organise taxies, explained the MRT (in detail) and were always very accomodating with our questions. The minibar in the room comes with apple juice, orange juice, bottled water, biscuits, coke zero and regular coke and milk which is all refreshed daily at no extra charge. The room has a nespresso machine and the capsules are refreshed daily at no extra charge. The room also came with a smart TV and a cellphone that you could tether to and make local calls - no need to buy a data/phone SIM (no extra charge). The swimmin pool is great and it has windows in the bottom that you could see into the restaurant through. They could also see you in the pool - remember that. It is close to the Outram MRT station (2 minutes away) and is only 5 minutes wal to Chinatown. Breakfast was at their sister hotel one street over which made for a nice 5 minute walk. The breakfast was lovely and is both buffet and a la carte. Is is not the cheapest hotel you will find and is reasonably pricey but weel worth the stay in our opinion. Loved it. We have stayed in a lot of hotels around the world and this is one of the most memorable.
