A 10-20-minute walk to Dam Square, Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum
"A good central base"
Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights recently. Rooms were adequate and clean. Not too noisy as our room faced a side street. Great central location, plenty bars and restaurants all round. Tram to centre of Amsterdam leaves from right outside the hotel.
We stayed in this hotel for a couple of days. Well located in a busy square. The hotel is good value for money. One thing to keep in mind is that it is not a quite hotel, so we recommend asking for a quite room. The thing I would like to remark was the treat of the staff. They were super friendly and efficient, changing us to a more quiet room I would like to remark the attention of the reception staff, especially to Yaiza, which did her best for us to be comfortable. Not very often you meet people that efficient. Good job
Slightly beaten-up hotel at Rembrandtplein. Small maintenance here and there needs to be done in the room as well as better cleaning. Over prized hotel if not thinking the great location. The room was quiet and breakfast ok. Safety box didn´t work at all.
"One of the poorest experiences of my entire travelling life"
Unfortunately I have dropped in this noisy hotel during one of my last business trips. From the very beginning Mina the first receptionist I have met made my life of customer more difficult than it should be. Despite I had a voucher already paid by my travel agency, she asked for local taxes and for the payment of the 2 breakfast. These two voices were clearly included in the paid voucher, I let her notice and asked her to pay attention. The day after when I went in the breakfast room at first floor my room number (311 a room of nightmare with broken facilities such as the magnifing mirror with electric cables easy to touch and get burned) was not included in the list. I had to run in the reception where a young kind professional (the only one around trying to help) gave me two cards allowing me to "enjoy" the breakfast for the day and the day after. I have lost time and I was late at work for this superficiality of the first receptionist. Furthermore I had just started the collection of points NH Rewards that were not charged on my profile (as of today). So for what they start a loyal program' I have called and wrote many times in order to try to gain what was due to me, but with no result. The check out is managed by only one person and therefore is slow and complicaqted, with long queue of people waiting their turn. The experience has been extremely negative and I will speak with the Travel Agency that manages the trips of my company in order to avoid such poor experiences to me and my colleagues in the very next future.
Basic but nice! Pleasent and helpful staff & great location. 5 minutes walk to everywhere. If your not a great sleeper I suggest you ask for a back room as it can get pretty loud at night. But wasn't an issue for us. Just needs a touch of paint here and there. Lovely stay.
