"Lovely hotel brilliant location"
Probably equi-distant between the train station and the flower market close to a main tram route and it couldn't be much better placed for Anne Frank's House. Breakfasts were lovely, ably supervised by Sri who very helpful. The staff were all excellent, friendly and very professional. There is a really superb and very characterful restaurant right opposite the front door. The hotel was a bit expensive but everywhere in Amsterdam is when the bulbs are out. Have stayed in another Nh Amsterdam hotel in October which was great for buying bulbs and off peak - it was also lovely.
"NH Hotel: what else! Enjoy! :) "
I spent a week in this hotel and I confirm it is a great place to stay. It's near the city centre, the most of the museums/restaurants and Dam square. You can go to the most of main places by feet. Pay attention to the bicycles!!! :) The room: Me and my friend stayed in a room at the 4th floor. The view was amazing! The room is cleaned every 2 days (if I remember correctly). However, they are always willing to clean it up if you ask for. The restaurant: we chose the B&B treatment. The restaurant offers you all you need to have an intercontinental breakfast (eggs, brioches, coffee, tea, bread, fruits and so on). The food is tasty. Lunch and dinner: there are a lot of restaurants in Amsterdam. Enjoy them all. I recommend Doria restaurant (near Dam square) and trattoria Caprese (in front of the hotel, more or less). If you want, go to MidTown Grill restaurant (the best grill in Amsterdam. Of course, it's not cheap but it is worth the bill). Personnel/employees: perfect. They are available at any time. Professional and kind people are always there for you. They all speak english very well. General considerations: wifi is free in the whole building. Even in the rooms, fortunately. The spaces are clean and there is also a gym. So, I do recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy Amsterdam.
"Very nice but.. "
When I was checking in, I noticed a couple of men standing next to me, listening to my conversation with the staff member. Upon looking at these men, I requested that they move back, which they did but about 30 seconds later, they came back. This time the receptionist asked them to move back citing privacy as the reason. However by this point, she had already said my room number and said my name - which the men had heard. I was uncomfortable with this and made this known to the receptionist but she said there was nothing she could do. Upon entering the room, I thought it was a bit small considering the huge price tag attached to it! The room had tea and coffee facilities and a safe. The bathroom was a little small also. The beds were very comfortable. This hotel was very conveniently located. It was near a tram stop which went to the main attractions in Amsterdam and had amenities nearby. The restaurant was very nice. I had an evening meal and breakfast there. The women (I cant remember their names) were both very helpful and friendly. The man in the kitchen happily made eggs to order at breakfast. Overall, I would probably stay here again but However, w
"Perfect in every way for our short holiday"
Spent 3 nights over the Easter weekend with a plan for a cultural few days in Amsterdam. The hotel location relative to our 3 booked itineraries was perfect. Close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum was perfect. A late check in on the first night was friendly and efficient. The rooms we exactly as advertised, clean and well maintained. Breakfast every day contained plenty of fresh hot and cold choices. The hotel location for the rest of Amsterdam with a bus and tram stop directly opposite the entrance is good and if you wish to stay local then the bars and restaurants around the Leidseplein, a short walk away, will cater for every taste.
"Right in the centre"
Superior rooms are small, but comfortable and with all the amenities, nespresso, bath robe and slippers, minibar. Nice comfy mattress and very decent shower, plenty of towels and toiletries. The hotel is quiet. The hotel is right in the centre of the city and just metres from some of the most interesting restaurants in the area.
