"Amazing ! "
Amazing place, amazing people and amazing service. Best place to relax and stay when in Bruxelles. Clean and big rooms, with all the amenities. And also an interesting restaurant with good prices even for a vegeterian as I am. I'll be surely back !
"Great experience in Brussels"
We stayed in NH Collection Grand Sablon on the beginning of January. We received full value for the money. The Hotel is well positioned, all important amenities in walking distance, also close to public transport. The Hotel itself very clean, comfortable, rooms decent size, well ma intend with all necessary items inside. Breakfast amassing, very tasty and well selected items - fresh juices, pastry, even champagne, energetic drinks, healthy smoothies, all other products for quality continental breakfast. Coffee fresh melted and big choice. The personal very polite, considered but discreet as well. They even prepared lunch packages for us for the traveling. Spanish restaurant inside of the hotel with tasty meals and kind and friendly stuff. will come back for sure. Strongly recommended for business and pleasure stain. Thank you.
"Nice design hotel in great neighborhood, but beware of Car Free Sunday."
Me and 4 friends stayed at the hotel as part of our yearly tradition of exploring a foreign city without our wife and children: A 'Man Weekend'. We arrived on Saturday. At the front desk I asked if we could park the car in the hotel garage. Unfortunately there was no space. The lady at the reception told us we could park in a public garage around the corner, a 5 min walk. No problem, so we parked there. We went into the city and had a great time. Brussels is wonderful! Excellent atmosphere, lovely food, and of course great beers! The hotel is a great place to stay: very clean, fresh new rooms, excellent location near lots of good restaurants and bars. So far, so good. After a night of fun and drinks we looked forward to an easy Sunday morning; sleeping late, having breakfast and strolling through the city and do some shopping. But at 8 o'clock we were rudely awakened by one of my friends. By coincidence he had heard on the radio that the complete center of Brussels would be shut down for car traffic during the entire day. He called reception, and the lady confirmed that there would be a complete shut down from 9.30 am. Her advice was to get out of the center as quick as possible! So we grabbed our stuff and went down to reception. Here they confirmed the story and gave us a leaflet explaining the situation. We did not receive this leaflet when we checked in, nor were we told about Car Free Sunday. She was very understandable and offered us some breakfast and a discount on our next stay at NH Sablon. We took some croissants, had a quick juice and quickly got to our car and left Brussels. We were not at all happy with the situation and how it influenced our weekend. In fact it was cut in half to only Saturday. After this I contacted the hotel explaining our situation. The hoteldirector Mr De Lemos wrote me a very kind reply in which he apologized for the situation and offered us some further discount on our next stay. Though off course it is not the hotel's fault that the Car Free Sunday takes place, I think it is the duty of the hotel to inform the guests well in advance, so that they (us in this case) can take measures or change plans. So beware. :-)
"Newly renovated and sublime"
The NH Brussels Grand Sablon has long been our favorite place to stay whilst in the Belgian capital. It's now finishing a complete renovation and the hotel is just sublime. Now the NH Collection Brussels Grand Sablon, the hotel is beautifully appointed and includes a fabulous lobby bar.The decor is quite modern and chic in both the public spaces and the rooms. The room itself was spacious with a very large king bed, hardwoods, leather upholstered headboard and minimalist, modern furnishings. We had a room on the 4th floor with a courtyard view, but were still able to get a fabulous view of the cathedral. The room also included a kettle and a Nespresso coffee maker. The mini bar was well stocked and the hotel included a daily bottle of mineral water on the house. The bath was modern and tiled from floor to ceiling. The shower included both a rain shower and handheld sprayer. The toiletries were first class as were the hotel linens. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful (no change here) and of course the location still can't be beat,
"A gem of a hotel"
We travel to Belgium frequently so have lots of experience of different hotels but I'd always wanted to stay in the Sablon area ( as we always spend most of our time time). Firstly, it's in a great location with easy access to the antiques area, fleamarkets and avenue Louise. The rooms since the renovation are beautiful with great decor and fabulous bathrooms. We were in a room overlooking the square and it was lovely to see the bustle of the square from above yet hear no noise from it- in fact I was amazed at how good the windows were noise wise and overall we found the hotel to be very quiet. Bed wise, there was an issue. The beds are very very hard- you will either love it or hate it. Hubby loved it, I hated it and just couldn't sleep. It didn't help that Ithis was my first mini break since recovering from a serious road accident ( which involved a broken pelvis amongst other injuries) so the bed unfortunately was not for me. However, the hotel did everything it could to help including remaking the bed with an additional 3 duvets folded in half on my side underneath the top sheet meaning I had the cushioning needed for comfort. Thus was sorted at 12.30am 10 mins after I had rang reception. Now that's firstrate service! Would we stay again...absolutely can't wait. Thanks for making this first trip since my accident such a success.
