I get to stay at this hotel regularly for work. The hotel is dated and generally clean, however sometimes I occasionally have to clean the bathroom myself to an acceptable standard, clean cups etc. Being so close to the runway threshold of Geneva airport, it can get pretty noisy when aircraft are departing (at times every 2minutes). For 2016 one would think you would get semi-decent internet - this is not the case. Breakfast is buffet style continental and is probably below average for hotels of a similar price range. Shuttle runs every 20min from about 5.30 to 23.30 to the airport. If you ask at reception you can get a public transport card that entitles you to travel around the city for the day for free.
"Aged but relatively well maintained"
Rather aged hotel, many stairs may not be convenient to some people. Breakfast collection is reasonably good an presentable. Hotel shuttle is available to and from hotel with very polite an helpful driver.
"Very close to the airport & SBB station, shuttle available"
The shuttle brings you to the hotel from the airport by about 5 min drive. The room was clean, quite and comfortable. In one stop by tram, you can find a big super market COOP, where you can find a fantastic bottle of wine. The breakfast buffet was great. In total, everything was fine. I will use this hotel gain in visiting Geneva in future.
"Geneva with a toddler"
We stayed in this hotel as a last minute booking as our previous accommodation was cancelled. It was our first proper time staying in a hotel with our 2 year old and we were a little apprehensive. On arrival at Geneva airport we found the free shuttle to the hotel easily and the driver kindly helped us with our luggage. The hotel is about a 10 minute trip from the airport. We were checked in quickly and had a reasonable sized room. The hotel provided a travel cot free of charge for our toddler. As with many hotels in Geneva, we were provided with our free travel card which allowed us to use all public transport for free. The tram stop is a 5 minute walk from the hotel (taking either the 14 or the 18) which is then a 15 minute ride into Geneva itself. As the hotel is near the airport, there is obviously aircraft noise. With the air conditioning on, it seemed to mask this noise and didn't bother us too much. Our toddler also loved seeing the aircraft whenever we left the hotel. As a side point, in the opposite direction to Geneva and 5 minutes away from the hotel is CERN. We really enjoyed the visitor centre and wished we had booked a tour to go around it properly. It even managed to keep the interest of our toddler! We'd definitely stay in this hotel again if we visited Geneva as we felt it was good value for money in a very expensive city.
"Terrible experience for a short stay near Geneva airport"
I booked a junior suite but when we arrived we were given a small triple room with tiny beds because no staff was available to do the lining (Don't you prepare it beforehand') We had nowhere to stand in the room after putting down 3 luggages. Then the shower head was suddenly broken right before I stepped into the shower, and flooded the whole bathroom. We waited for almost an hour until someone came and replaced it. The standard wifi is slow, which is OK, but signal reception was horrible. Not recommended to stay here. Nothing met my expectation.
