"Nice hotel, a little worn"
We were visiting Amsterdam for our 10 year anniversary. This was a trip that we had been looking for a long time, and wanted to book somewhere nice but further away from Centraal. This hotel is certainly not in an area that is buzzing like the more expensive central hotels. We really liked it though as it is based in a residential area. There are multiple options for transport to Centraal Station and all will get you there within 30 mins or so. The downside is that the trams and metro stop at 12am and then your options are limited as to how to get back (taxi, Uber etc). The room itself was large, bathroom ok. I wasn't keen on the laminate flooring... made it seem like a student dorm. The staff are very polite and helpful, and the cleaning staff work really hard (some tricky groups there that weekend). We would return again for sure.
"Excellent hotel and perfect service!"
This is the second time I stay here this year (In June and now) for work. Both times the experience has been very positive, due mainly to the simplicity and very comfortable feel of the hotel as well as the quality of the service.
"Thanks to NH Amsterdam Zuid"
We were a group of 12 staying at the NH Amsterdam Zuid for the weekend. All staff we encountered were great, I was the only native Dutch speaker however all staff spoke good English. At check in they were very friendly and read the audience very well and had fun in the process which is very important. We came back at around midnight and had drinks outside with the group and they lets u be but did inform us respectfully if we were to rowdy. Rooms are good size and beds comfortable, didn't have breakfast but did have a look and it looked varied with a good selection. This hotel is not in the centre and requires a taxi or a short walk and a tram to get to town. Benefit is though that it is nice and quiet. Close to Gelderland plein shopping centre which has plenty of shops, and small restaurants for breakfast or lunch. We had a great time, thank you to all the staff at reception including the interns from Leeuwarden and Quincy who's first day It was for looking after us.
The hotel is Good. The staff is nice. But it's really very far from the main city and it's attraction points. If we want to explore something outside the hotel, there are no clubs/eating joints etc. So, when with friends, you can miss some fun.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and always available to assist guests. The break fast is fantastic! Front office staff are also friendly but should exercise more caution while checking in guests. They should pay attention to details and listen to guests instructions and/or input
