"Great hotel at about 10 minutes from city center"
Although this hotel is situated at about 10 minutes walk from the city center (along the river), I can't believe you find a better hotel than this. All staff is very friendly, the room was big, modern and very clean. I had a room along the road but had no traffic noise in the morning or evening. Breakfast is served on first floor and the choice is huge. I ordered once room service in the evening: only positive critics about the service and food. Next time being in Krakow, I surely come back to this hotel
"Not 5 stars "
We booked this hotel as part of a trip to the Christmas market in Krakow. It was perfectly adequate- reasonably well situated, quite quiet and comfortable, but the staff were not at all friendly and in some cases, quite awkward. We paid a lot extra for the breakfasts which were expensive by Polish standards and not good value for money by any standards. The staff had clearly been told to ensure guests paid and on our first morning I was told no less than 4 times that it wasn't included and I would have to sign for it. I liked the quietness but disliked the staff attitude and lack of atmosphere- the 'art' bit was evidenced by two odd statues dressed as angels in feathers, and the spa offered facials with snail slime..
"Good choice hotel in Krakow"
The reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly, all requests were met efficiently. Location is very good, with a riverside setting. It takes about 20 minutes to walk into the city centre via the riverbank and a couple of streets. If you don't want the walk there is a choice of 3 tram routes to the central area. Room was clean although our travel company reckoned it was a 5* hotel. Well that may be in Polish terms but not for the UK. There were no bathrobes or shampoo. However there was adequate body lotion and shower gel. We had to get some milk for our tea from the restaurant as there was none in the room. The shower was good, so simple to operate. The safe was locked and unlocked wirelessly with the room card, another plus. We used the Italian restaurant in the basement on the first night, the pizza was one of the best we have had, anywhere. Breakfast was adequate, the smoothie delicious. Value for money was good all round.
"Lovely Hotel "
Just returned from a 4 night gut stay at this hotel - would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone. We had a first floor room overlooking the river, which was immaculately clean and well set out - large comfortable bed, bed settee, comfortable chairs and a desk. The bathroom was lovely and again, well set out. The pizza restaurant on site was fabulous and the dining room served a nice, but limited breakfast (didn't try an evening meal). All staff were very polite and helpful. Overall it was a wonderful stay.
"Nice hotel in riverside location "
I booked through Amoma and despite not having a record of my booking on arrival, the receptionist made sure there was a room for us & even let us check in at 10am! The room was a good size with a nice bathroom & minibar available if needed. It also had a hairdryer in the bathroom which I'm told by my wife is a big plus!! The hotel is about 2km from the main square in the Old town, on the side of the river - we strolled into town along the riverbank path everyday which was nice, if a little bit cold in December!! Features of the hotel include a small but well equipped gym (which we never used despite taking our gym kits!!!), a spa where you can book beauty treatments & massages, a small bar in reception area which we used everyday but lacked character, a pizzeria in the basement where we ate on our first night (nice enough) & a nice restaurant with views of the river - this also doubled up as the breakfast room (a very good selection of food & drinks). In summary, I'd definitely visit again though maybe when it's a little warmer to enjoy the river stroll!!
