I have today returned from 6 days at the Nixe Palace hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Rooms are a very good size, balcony was huge with loungers and table and chair. It had a well stocked mini bar, robes, slippers, everything you could possibly need n the bathroom. Food excellent, staff exceptionally well mannered and attentive. Beautiful views.
"A good hotel - shame the spa was out of order"
This is a good hotel - clean, spacious, comfortable room, wonderful sea views, nice food. The big disappointment was we were told when we arrived that the spa was out of action, and this was the case for our entire stay. They did offer a free taxi service to a nearby hotel to use their spa, but it just seemed a hassle. Would have been nice to be offered 10% off or something like that, especially as the spa was one of the main reasons I booked.
"5* Location, 4* Experience in Low Season"
This is a fantastic hotel and we received great service from everyone, with special mentions for Ivan, Jennifer, Simon and Carolina. We were originally in room 309 which had a Kingsize bed and balcony but requested a move after 3 nights due to some late night noise as they were setting up for business events the following day. We were offered a choice of 2 rooms and selected 102 which had a sun terrace, an an uninterrupted view of the bay and was really quiet but didn't offer a king size bed. As it was low season, the hotel seemed to still be waking from it's winter slumber so the pool was closed, the balustrades were being painted, A Popa restaurant was unavailable and the Spa was also closed for maintenance. The hotel had organised free access to the Spa at the Val Paraiso Palace Hotel (which was amazing) and reimbursed the cost of the 10 minute taxi ride. This was all a little inconvenient and took the shine off what otherwise would have been a 5* experience. The food was excellent, the staff were brilliant, the Sangria was fantastic and the sea view was incredible but low season experience left us feeling a little frustrated given this was a 50th Birthday treat.
I have just spent a long weekend break at the Nixe Palace with my husband to celebrate our recent 40th wedding anniversary, on arrival we were greeted by the very welcoming reception staff who informed us that we had been given a room upgrade. The check in was quick and we were soon in our room which was beautiful with gorgeous sea views, we were delighted to see a bottle of cava on ice along with a small box of chocolates this was a lovely touch and got our break off to a really good start! We found all the staff to be very friendly and efficient at their jobs this is a lovely hotel that is very well run by very professional staff I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be returning
"Lovely Hotel - but make sure you book a Sea Room!"
I stayed at this hotel for just under a week, it is a lovely hotel with magnificent view of the sea and shoreline, and has a nice beach right in front of the hotel. Initially I was put into a room at the front of the hotel, and moved into a sea room the following night. If you are a light sleeper you may not want to stay in the front (Classic) rooms as they are quite noisy with buses and scooters until late at night. The sea rooms are generously sized and well decorated with mini bar, coffee machine and all essentials. Location is good, but would recommend this hotel if you wish to have some time out from Palma and sight seeing as it is a great place to unwinde and relax on your private balcony or on the beach. Walking into Palma Town takes an hour as it is about 2 miles to the centre, however, the No. 8 bus is literally in front of the hotel and takes 10 minutes to get into the city. This gives you the best of both worlds being outside of the city but also being close enough to enjoy it. There are a range of restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel which I ate at most nights. Overall a great hotel, good service and recommended!
