"Service too bad"
Reservation made 2 months in advance, we entered the hotel at 17:00 on 31.12.16, it was almost 30 minutes to check in, however the rooms were not yet available (we would have to wait for the cleaning). Complaint made, they remedied the problem, then a room appeared. The bar in the restaurant has a limited menu and one of the dishes requested was not available, the other that should have been delivered to the room, the was made after 30 minutes, so a very bad service, to make matters worse, our bags arrived room after 40 minutes. The Hotel is cozy, clean, beautiful and new, has a garage, has a swimming pool that meets the needs and what they call a gym. Not prepared for high season. Unfortunate! By Room 2204!
"More of a flat than hotel, breakfast can improve "
Well located hotel near Boa Viagem Beach but it's actually more of a flat with sofa, refrigerator and stove. Breakfast can improve as the buffet is a little bit messed up and the hot options (like scrambled eggs) are not kept under the correct temperature. We also had the bad experience of getting a room which wasn't ready but the concierge quickly gave us another room
Comfortable hotel, excellent natural light with big windows. However restaurant service is disappointing. The breakfast is aweful, even coffee is bad. Dinner was ok, but they dont serve any wine by the glass, not even in the bar.
"Cold shower, stinking bathroom & dirty toilet paper"
Don't get me wrong- the hotel is new, room is comfortable & clean, breakfast is decent. Maybe it was just my bad luck, but when I took the toilet paper it was filled with dust. Someone called me to say welcome and to ask if everything was ok. When I told her about the paper, she said she would send someone right away, but that never happened. The day after, the bathroom smelled like urine & the shower was cold. I called the reception and they said they would send up the technician- that never happened either, after I called other 2 times. Good intention of the employees, but no action.
"Decent business type hotel"
The hotel is brand new and clean, a sort of no fuss business atmosphere. A good breakfast with delicious tropical fruits and helpful staff. One morning I ordered (with great difficulty seeing as I don't speak Portuguese) two hard boiled eggs and they obliged, and the next morning they brought them over without me asking, a lovely touch! Make sure you request a high floor room, the view of the mangroves is beautiful but the motorway through them is noisy, and the windows (as everywhere in Recife from what I have seen) aren't double glazed so absolutely no sound protection from street noise. Very normal for the city though. The gym is large with music that you can pump up, good treadmills, hand held weights up to 10kg, bikes & shoulder machine and even ankle weights in different weights which are great. I found it great for my workouts but it would benefit from a weight bar for heavier work outs (the nobile beach class closer to the beach has one). I went to the spa for a massage and they could definitely make some improvements. No introductions were made, I was led into a very cold massage room (I was shivering) with wax sticks left out from the person before, my table was covered in plastic bags of towels which the masseuse just chucked to the next table, she didn't leave the room for me to undress and the towel was marked, the massage was 7 minutes short of 50 minutes which was actually a relief because the final 10 minutes was just alternating every few rubs between my feet and my temples which was a bit jarring not to mention unhygienic, she was nice and not rude at all but clearly not a professionally trained masseuse which would be okay except absolutely no effort was made to make the room feel special or relaxing or even prepared for a massage (the table wasn't positioned correctly so it had to be pushed around while I lay on it). Maybe they are better at waxes and other beauty treatments but for 120 BRL I expected a bit more of a "spa" experience. 10 BRL taxi to Recife Shopping which has every shop you would need and a movie theatre and a taxi rank to easily get back to the hotel, taxi drivers know the hotel well if you say "O hotel Nobile Rua Maria Carolina". There is a nice grocery shop the next block over (turn left if you walk out of the hotel and turn down the next right after the intersection that the hotel is on - and walk down there for two mins and you'll find it) good to get water and fruit etc. It's a good business hotel or for a longer term stay, our suite was great and a good sized open plan kitchen for a small 1.5 bedroom unit, but if you're looking for a holiday feel I would recommend the Nobile inn that is actually on Boa Viagem.
