"Dare I say confident to the case of complacent"
This was my first stay in this hotel, although I have visited Stockholm a number of times below. The hotel is in an excellent location and on entry is impressive - very well designed. I was greeted professionally at reception and soon went off to find my room. Whilst a single room had been ordered for me, this room was quite small - although adequate for a single person. The facilities are high quality, but the small long nature of the room means that the TV is not in the best position. Whilst I did try the bar and restaurant and both were fine, actually, there is not much to write home about, service whilst professional and polite is slow and the bar I found too cold to remain in. The biggest problem was on going to sleep. This small room overlooks a city centre road and the streetlights shine straight in - the curtains are quite inadequate. It is obvious that whilst the hotel had invested in design, they were less concerned on the functionality of the rooms! In truth any member of staff inspecting this room at night would not the light issue - I suggest that these sort of checks (that I expect at this level of hotel) do not happen. As a result I did not get much sleep, which I would suggest is probably more important than the brochures telling me which famous people stayed in the hotel! I missed breakfast, but order a taxi. When my taxi did not arrive, I was waiting in reception where I was told to wait, I checked. The taxi was outside, but no one was checking and informing customers - oh well as I suggest this hotel feels that it is so confident in the service it provides it is actually complacent. I recommend going back to basics.
"Superior beds smaller than standard beds'"
Not worth the price. The hotel claims to be luxury class, but can't deliver on that. I chose the superior room with the impression that the bed would be at least same size as the stated king size (180 cm wide) as explicitly described in the standard room. The superior room that I got had however only a queen size (160 cm) bed. The extra m2's where completely useless and you almost had to jump over the sofa table to reach the desk. Also the room was described as having a view over the beautiful courtyard - well, there was a courtyard but with doubtful beauty unless you like synthetic grass and nothing else... Furthermore the corridors are narrow and we actually missed the diminutive lift once and took a whole extra turn around the floor to find it - without first having stopped for several drinks... Conclusion - not worth the money charged
"Hotel Nobis "
Nobis hotel is a very good location, the staff are very helpful . I did not rate this hotel as 5 stars as you pay because of the standards. The standard room has very little space to move around and you could put only one big bag .The room dose not have a kettle coffee and tea , also dose not have a toothbrush, the pillows are not good. I been to many hotels and I can recall a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was wonderful . The cleaning was Very good , if you ask for a kettle they will provide you with it but you have to wait around 30 to 40 minutes to delivery to your room.
Gorgeous hotel with unique, hip rooms overlooking a public square in the city center. Friendly staff, close proximity to shopping and sightseeing, and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever experienced. Highly recommend.
I was very impressed with everything at the Nobis. Normally design hotels look better in photos than in real life, but it was just like the photos. There is a definite elegance to it. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and well taken care of. The room itself had a really nice view. But I have to say the highlight was the breakfast - it was hard to stop us from overeating. The pancakes were delicious, as were the cold cuts and vegetables. They served us delicious tea and coffee and had an assortment of freshly squeezed juices. Just fantastic!
