The hotel is ideally located just a 2-minute walk from Les Planches along the coast and 200m from the Deauville Casino.

"Good and outright expensive"
All works well. At very elevated prices. Do not at all expect value for plenty of your money. Bar and restaurant equally overpriced. Garage at only € 33. But location is perfect. Your wife will estimate the Retail Therapy offered nearby. Take it with humour.
"Disappointing stay-much good but too much well below 5* standard"
My wife and I stayed here as a a birthday treat for her. We had stayed here many years ago and were looking forwards to staying again The hotel is centrally situated in Deauville and the beach only a few minutes walk away We often went to Trouville as there was a bit more of a buzz there and an excellent selection of restaurants Reception was good and first impressions of the hotel favourable The room was on the small side but adequate and appropriately furmished The coffee maker was a nice touch The bathroom was a good size but the towels were very thin and needed to be replaced The balcony was adequate but we did not use it - 1.We were out all day 2.Pigeons had made their home there and it was not a great place to sit OK so I could have complained but in our case it was not an issue as we were out all day The staff were all very pleasant and there was always a friendly 'bonjour ' when passed in the corridor Breakfast was served in the main dining room We were welcomed by a member of staff and taken to a table That's when the fun started- Only one station to cut bread, the eggs, bacon etc. in the warmer were only lukewarm and were cold by the time I got back to the table because the plates were cold The only way to get something hot was to queue up and ask the chef there to cook it freshly The tables were very close together and one had to walk sideways between them The tables were cafe style and it would have been nice to have a tablecloth-as all the other Barriere hotels I have stayed at have done Our disastrous evening meal in the Belle Epoque to celebrate my wifes birthday is covered elsewhere This is a 5* hotel and must be judged on those standards Whilst the public rooms were grand and service good, the areas I have discussed let the Normandy down In short, compared to other Barriere hotels, the Normandy was a great disappointment and we shall not be staying there again
Enjoyed walking the town, crisp clean air, palm trees, and some luxe cockails at bar. Excellent classic service. Live music and dancing, our lucky night. This is a gorgeous property, very famous with A-list movie stars for the annual film festival in August.
"Exquisite faculty, you get what you pay for (and Spot does, too)"
This is a lovely hotel, class act all the way down the line. We stayed in a regular double with a sea view (a little obscured by the tennis courts but with great light and sunsets) that included a double bed, of course, but also was large enough to have a small couch and a writing desk. Well laid-out, modern bathroom with a shower and a tub. Quiet at night. Wifi and room and maid service without fault. There is a spa and an indoor pool available for hotel guests. We did not go to the extravagent breakfast (both in price and contents) but had our coffee elsewhere. We did, however, eat at the hotel restarant the night we arrived and it was solid, if somewhat unexciting. Here, too, the service was professional. Since we always travel with our small dog, I would like to give a shout-out to pet owners. Le Normandy is equipped to accomodate animals -- our pug met an imposing, good natured Great Dane in the hotel bar, and also encountered several smaller examples in the course of our stay. Our room had a food and water bowl for our pet ready, and a special notice to put on the door so that the maid wasn't surprised when she came to turn down our beds that we hadn't taken the pug with us to dinner. Or maybe she was -- most pugs enjoy a fancy dinner, after all.
"Amazing hotel for a romantic weekend away"
My wife and I spent a long weekend at this hotel and it was wonderful, the room was lovely and quiet, room service was quality. The food in the main restaurant Belle Epoque was stunning, while the choices for breakfast was perfect. Overall a wonderful hotel, in a perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, exuding an air of quality and excellence.
