We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The food wasn't very good and the room might have been a bit bigger, but it was very clean and we were especially happy with the excellent service and the friendly staff. Our special thanks go out to Jerome, who makes the best cocktails, Anduel who was very kind, Royston who has a great sense of humour, Nina who was very helpful and Marcel who made our check in the best ever.Comment of V. "Lovely hotel but slightly out the way"
Lovely modern hotel with spacious bedrooms and comfortable bed. Very quiet bedrooms but the hotel is located about 20 mins outside of Amsterdam. There is a tram stop near by but this takes a while to get into the centre, I would recommend tourists staying closer to the centre.
This is a really well placed hotel although 20 minutes out of Amsterdam it is right next to the tram stop. Really friendly helpful staff. Great room. Sadly resturant let it down not great choice and expensive which would have not been a problem but my main course was inedible. Had pasta and salmon off main menu and the salmon was barely cooked and was slimy. My partner had what was described as crispy duck far from it. I would stay here again but would avoid the resturant.
This hotel was very well located. Only a few minutes tram ride to the Central station. The tram station was hardly 100 meters from the hotel. Surroundings of the hotel were very nice. The hotel building was beautiful and the hotel was very huge. Lobby and breakfast area were very huge in size . Interiors were very stylish. Gym was very nice. Breakfast was very lavish. Rooms had all the amenities. But if you want anything in the room you have to pay an extra charge. Its basically a no service in rooms. They do not give any drinking water in room. Overall had a plesant stay. Will recommend to everyone.
"Not worth it!"
Other than the location which is within walking distance to the tram and train, I really can't give you any good reasons to stay there. First of all, the service at the reception is not acceptable for such big chain. Rude and unfriendly. Always long queue at the counters. Second, the room is small and old. Out-dated furniture, old and stained carpet. The pressure of the toilet is so low that we had to use the toilet at the lobby area instead. They give plastic cups, plastic stirrers in Novotel! I thought I was in a motel. They even took a deposit of euro 100 (or 50) when we check in. I don't understand what is it for as there is nothing in the bar fridge, no slippers, no porcelain cups .... This will be my last time staying in this hotel.
The hotel has easy access as it is very close to the railway RAI station. Also the tram end stop is 300 m away. Service in this hotel is great. Very friendly staff. Rooms are fresh and beds good to sleap in.
