"Very large room"
Was expecting a bit more from our apartment room judging by its usual price (thankfully we booked it heavily discounted online) as I'd previously been very impressed with the studio/apartments @ Oaks Horizons in Adelaide. We were pretty excited to stay in what seemed to be such a lovely room at a great price. The room did look like its pictures online which was a pleasant discovery but only from a distance. I thought I'd provide some feedback as it was a bit disappointing, may have just been our pot luck of our room allocation - all it really needed was a good freshen up. We experienced: Patchy paint work in bathroom, mouldy silicone in shower, and was extremely difficult to get out of bath/shower safely due to its height. Most of the walls were quite marked, arm chairs were stained and wooden flooring had heavy scratches gauged into it. Tv in bedroom had terrible reception, didn't even provide a remote control for it, (not great considering it was attached to the wall on a bracket up too high to physically see the on/off switch, channels and volume etc). We could still smell the previous tenants cooking smells throughout the room which was quite strong and the balcony glass still had sticky drink stains on the glass partitions. One of the 2 x lifts also wasn't working for the majority of our stay, resulting in long waits to get up or down to our room. Location was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, but all those little things previously mentioned just added up to us unfortunately being disappointed with our experience there. Wouldn't take too much to make this into a top notch room - just a lil TLC and some attention to detail required.. Probably wouldn't stay there again unless it had a freshen up..
"Spacious Accommodation "
We stayed here for 5 nights January 2017. The apartment was spacious and clean and check in was professional. Only downfall was the lifts as only one was working and there are 29 floors. However it is good value for money. We were visiting family and the Oaks was a bit of a hike to Flinders Street Station so would probably not stay here again.
We stayed here as it was close to the theatre (Exhibition St) The check in staff were friendly. Our room was on 24th floor and had great views across the city. Our studio room had a small kitchenette, so we had brought along our brekky stuff. However, there were no chairs in the room, and no toaster! So, what do you do, eat cereal and balance on your knees on the bed (the bed was very comfy, but not for eating on.) Room service left a little to be desired also. I called down at about 8.15am to request more coffee and sugar, only to be told that the man doesn't start until 9am, so come downstairs and get it yourself. I don't think so. Only one lift was working during our stay, which meant long waiting times. Upon checkout I voiced my disappointments, and to be fair, was given an apology, and had our parking fee waived.

Previous experiences at this location were positive as the rooms were fresh and clean and the property was in good condition. We stayed over the Christmas period and were expecting the same quality as previous visits: HOWEVER, To start there was only one lift working out of two over that period which made us think what happens if the other one buggered up'' The walls in the lift area were grubby with marks all over and a punched in service door. The room floors were marked and scratched, the carpets were stained and generally dirty, cigarette burns on the lounge seats, stuffing in the cushions were loose and hanging out as buttons were missing, furniture was tired and old, bathroom was tired with big build ups of dust on the exhaust fan, hair in the plug hole, missing shelving, no dryer but advertised as having one, some lights intermittently working in bathroom, dust also along skirting boards throughout apartment, sticky floors underfoot. At least the kitchen was clean and functional. This was supposed to be a 4 STAR daily serviced apartment and was serviced only ONCE in the 4 nights we stayed. And all this for lots of my hard earned money. These guys need to lift their game as I would certainly not recommend this property as a 4 Star property, maybe a 2 or 3 at best. Staff were good though
"Nice Appartements but poor management "
We had a very nice, spacious apartment with a great view. That's the main plus! But wifi is very slow and you only get 30 mins/day. In that time you can send three emails. This is ridiculous in this price category in the year 2016! Moreover cleaning wasn't very good and one elevator was broken and they did not fix it within 4 days. So we had to wait for over 10 mins to get up or down. Dishwasher and tumbler did not really work and some other minor problems occurred. However, if your are keen on a good view and a large room it's okay. The staff is very friendly.
