"Central Hotel a stones throw from Luas (Tram) & St. Stephens Green"
First time here though stayed in 2 hotels on St S Green. I went for a big room (suite) as staying over a week. Room had living area and bedroom as well as big bathroom. All clean, quiet and comfortable. TV just free to air. No fridge in the room. No facecloth for the bathroom. Breakfast was fine; good coffee and hot breakfast thought the buffet weaker and especially those that like fresh fruit. Small gymn was handy but limited. Wifi very good!
"Nine days stay and I would stay again!"
I recently stayed nine days at this hotel and it was very nice. Location is great, room was spacious and the bathroom large and modern. My one complaint were the pillows which I found flat and hard- the staff tried to find one more fluffy but to no avail- Overall I found the staff "bent over backwards" to be helpful and accommodating- front desk, bar and housekeeping staff were all great. This hotel is recommended and priced as a 4* hotel however we did not have this experience. The decor throughout the hotel is tired and there is no atmosphere. There were no maps of the city available and the staff could not recommend a single attraction, visit or restaurant. The room was not cleaned properly throughout our 4 day stay and the room itself is old fashioned and extremely noisy (we were woken up on two nights). The location of the hotel is fine, but frankly this does not make up for the terrible service, discomfort and appalling atmosphere at a really high cost.
"Nice Hotel Located Centrally Located in Dublin"
This is a very nice hotel located in a good location in Dublin. It's within walking distance of a lot of attractions. Note: there is a new and old addition to this hotel so some of the room pics will be extremely different. I was located in a newer section of the hotel. The room was very modern with a lot of nice features, but a terrible view. Whereas the older section of the hotel has street views and tub and show combinations that may suite other individuals. The breakfast is really good but not included in your room rate. You can add this if you like for an additional cost. I enjoyed this location since it was a little further out near Stephens Green which avoided some of the hustle and bustle of being right in the city of Dublin. Cabs frequent the location so it's very easy to get transportation when needed.
Myself and a friend booked here for two nights in Dublin, and couldn't see why it was a four star hotel other than the tasty breakfasts and service we had in the restaurant. Check in was at 2pm and we arrived at 3 and had to wait for our room to be cleaned, claimed that "the final checks were being done" and when got to the room the cleaners just left the room. There were pubic hairs on the toilet, floor and in the bath and my friend had to the cleaners back. The decor also seemed lacking and we would have sooner stayed at a travel lodge, which is a two star hotel but we know they are clean.
