We travelled as part of a group of 8 for our friends 40th Birthday - they have visited for the last five years and have always told us how great they find the place. They were not wrong. From the moment we walked into the lobby I knew this would be a great trip. The staff are outstanding and nothing is too much trouble. Big thanks to Carlos, Consuelo, Edgar, Gilberto and Herlinda plus the other staff I've probably missed out! The service we received during our stay was excellent. The food was always freshly prepared and we really enjoyed the grill area of the Paloma restaurant. We dined at La Vista which was delicious and we also tried Da Vinci's which was nice. Sushi bar and Viva Mexico were also lovely places to eat. There is construction work being done but they really do their best to keep disruption to a minimum - it certainly didn't cause us any problems. The part of the trip we least enjoyed was being picked up to come home! We'll be visiting again without a doubt.
"Cant wait to go back!!!"
Omni is still one of the best resorts on the strip. Yes, they are under major renovations, the people i feel bad for are the ones that work at the front desk, with all the construction from 9am-5pm. Ask for a room on a higher floor and you will not hear noise at all. October seems to be an 'off' month to travel - better for us - less crowds. While walking on the beach, we noticed that most hotels do their repairs/renovations during this slower season. Service - all over the hotel - was excellent - you could not ask for better. You can tell that each and every employee takes great pride in working there. Was alittle disappointed the Pina Colada beach bar/rest and lobby bar are under construction but cant wait to return to see the renovations completed!! This place will be amazing once it is done. but, shhhhhhh - we don't want the secret to get out!!! Thank you to everyone who works there, that made our stay special!!
"Construction during our visit"
I'm going to be honest. The hotel is not 5 stars. In my opinion is 3+. People are wonderful and guests service is very good. Food is not the best but everything is delicious and fresh. The worst part is construction during the our stay. Nobody told us in advance. We couldn't sleep until very late because no insulation between our and next room. We called to reception and they talked with neighbors but it's only temporary and problem is in poor insulation. After hard night we heard construction in a morning!!!''' It ruin our vacation. But again I would like to mention wonderful people who work in the hotel. They are extremely nice and hospital. They are the best. Also we love beach in front of hotel. We attend timeshare presentation and we didn't buy anything. We didn't feel pressure. The guy by name Ozzie was wonderful and explain to us all benefits of his vacation program but...
"Omni is the place to be!"
We traveled from LA and San Diego to stay for a long weekend at the Omni. We booked our trip through Costco and they took care of EVERYTHING! It was the best travel booking experience. We didn't have to worry about booking a vehicle for transportation to and from airport, they took care of that for you. The transportation company was great and prompt getting us to and from airport. When we arrived at hotel they were friendly and greeted us with mimosas. Everyone we interacted with was more than willing to assist us with anything we needed. From finding activities to do or the best places to go shop and best sites to see. The food was great anywhere we ate. We highly recommend Da Vinci Italian Restaurant. They have the best sangria and the food wont disappoint. We were celebrating a birthday while there and they noticed the birthday decor in our room and one day left us a bottle of champagne. Room service always made sure our fridge was stocked with the stuff we liked best. Check out was a breeze. We can't wait to make it a yearly trip and visit the Omni and all the friends we made there again!
"Light sleeper's NIGHTMARE!"
This hotel is so LOUD! There is construction everywhere your turn. It's a construction zone from the lobby, to the first few hotel room floors, the buffet and to the cabanas on the beach! On top of that the rooms & doors are so hollow you can hear the person snoring and even drying their hair in the room next to you... If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in paradise... this is not the place!! I'm shocked OMNI put their name on that hotel. What a disappointment for such a reputable brand.
