"Overpriced, but good location"
The food was absolutely horrible, and not a very wide variety to choose from. The hotel is currently under construction which I was not notified of prior to booking. I would not have booked had I known about the construction. It was very loud and disruptive, morning and evening. The good thing about this hotel is the location, amazing view, and cleanliness.
"Omni is pretty good"
I came to Cancun from 11/29-12/4 for a work related conference, but i brought my wife with me and we stayed at the Omni. Only complaints are that the AC in our room wasn't very good; it was usually 72-75 degrees when we normally like it around 69-70, and also we were supposed to have 1 king bed and were put into a 2 double beds room, but that was no big deal. I wouldn't give it 5 stars but definitely 4 stars. The staff were great and for the most part spoke good English. You could tell they go out of their way to help you. Jose at the front lobby bar was great; you never had to wait on him to serve you. 2 of the staff members whose names I can't remember actually went out with a group of us one night and showed us around. The food was great; I was surprised because some other reviews disagreed, but I loved it. All inclusive is definitely the way to go. I definitely got my money's worth in food and drinks. Oh, there was construction in the lobby that was really loud, but we're easy going so it didn't really bother us. If we go back to Cancun in the future we would probably stay at a more kid friendly hotel if we were to bring our kids, but if it's just my wife and I, we would definitely go back to Omni.
I'm an Omni Vacation Club owner, and visit at least twice a year. I frequently use their Omni Spa, which has a beauty shop, gym, showers, steam room, massages, and facials. I just had the absolutely best massage from Jazmin. Not only does Jazmin give an amazing massage, she's a very caring and generous lady. Love my favorite masseuse, Jazmin💜
"A vacation you'll remember for years to come!!!"
Although it’s been almost 3 years since our stay at the Omni hotel, the vacation was still one of our favorites and I would like to share our great experience. We stayed March 2014 for a full 7days, 6 nights check-in was seamless, and we were in a group of 18. Very welcoming front desk attendants checked us in and took our bags. They had a ton of people all checking in at once but where able to manage all the people. Typically check-in time is 3pm and we arrived around 12. Our room wasn’t ready but they took our bags and locked them in a room until our rooms were ready, by 3pm we had our room. Just make sure to bring a carry-on bag with a swim suit and lighter clothing attire to prepare beforehand. Our room was great, we had a lagoon view and our room was very clean. So clean in fact, we only have our room serviced 3x for a whole week because our first day they had cleaned our room 2x in a 6 hour window. We were very impressed. The buffet food was as usually – not bad – not great either. The sushi bar was AMAZING!!! We ate sushi every single day on our vacation, also the grill by the pool and the Di-Vinci was amazing. As well as breakfast, they had a lot of variety and the food was always fresh. We also ordered room service one night and that was also good. The pools were well kept and clean, same for all the bathrooms on the grounds. The beach was beautiful and the hotel has employee’s that go out every morning and pick up any trash and cigarette butts, which in my opinion is wonderful as we have experienced at other resorts they do not do this and it has caused cuts on your feet, etc…I will note that you do need to grab a spot early in the morning to get one. I do feel the hotel should enforce the towel rules more, so that people can’t reserve spots all day and only sit there for a few hours. We noticed all the time that people would layout towels at 7am and not return until 12…that’s not fair, especially when there is a 2 hour limit to holding your spot (I believe its 2 hours) and not very many lounge chairs. Another note is to bring ear plugs – the construction of not only the Omni hotel but all hotels along the ocean are made of concrete walls and marble floors, thus creating echoes in the corridors. Also their bedroom doors are hollow wood, so again so sound privacy. This is just way buildings are constructed in Mexico, so bring ear plugs and you will be fine.
"Omni is Amazing"
Just returned from Cancun and it was an amazing experience all thanks to the amazing staff at Omni Cancun. My Wedding was there on 11/27 and the entire staff was super helpful and so nice to all my guests and my family. I can actually say that we will be returning and other guest members as well the next year. The pools are super clean, the rooms are cleaned daily ! What I loved most was the staff and their honesty, I left my backpack with my passport, husband and son and they kindly took it with them and when I came to ask them a question returned it. They made my wedding and vacation unforgettable ! I love the Omni Cancun
