We stayed at the OPUS for our anniversary weekend. Room was great but what sets the OPUS apart is the staff. Complimentary wine on arrival, they sent a bottle of wine to our upgraded for for our anniversary. They offered their complimentary driver for our dinner reservation that night as well as to take us to a food tour we had scheduled the next day. Plus excellent recommendations on restaurants, coffee shops and just fun things to do.
"Another great stay at my favorite hotel in Vancouver!"
I had to make an unexpected trip to Vancouver and was fortunate there was room at Opus. I love how pampered they make you feel from the time you check in (offered a glass of prosecco at check-in), to the time you leave. The entire staff is so friendly and eager to help with any question you may have. The rooms are sumptuously decorated and include beautiful linens, free wifi, iPads for use, etc. I am usually too much in a hurry for breakfast when I stay here while working but this time I got to enjoy their nice breakfast buffet that is included in the room cost.
"first time at the opus"
we found the service was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful. the only reason I have not rated this hotel higher is we found the room a little cramped for a king size bed/ suite. We had a garden court room with fireplace. really enjoyed sitting by the fire and reading. made for a very relaxing time.
"Great hotel in a great location"
This is just an all-round great hotel with wonderful staff. We stayed there at both the beginning and end of a longer trip flying out of Vancouver airport. Both times we got a standard king room that was not spacious but was quiet and very plush. Comfy bed, very nice linens, and great toiletries! The neighborhood has lots of great restaurants to choose from and is easily accessible by metro (the cheapest, fastest, easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport. You'll be happy you didn't cab it.) Most of all, the staff is very, very attentive and kind.
"Treated us like gold on my wedding day"
Seriously this is the best service I've ever received at a hotel. It is pricey but so worth it!!! On top of the amazing service, our room and the views were GORGEOUS. I requested morning check-in the day of my wedding - they emailed me the night before to notify me. Upon arrival with my maid of honor, they treated me with a mimosa and also upgraded us from a deluxe king room to an executive suite. They let us know that ANYTHING we needed, they would provide for us. My only concern was that when we dropped our bags on the trolley in the lobby, they told us to head to our room and the bellman will roll our trolley up to our room after they parked our car in the valet area (it was still at the front of the hotel at this point). So we headed to our room and then I realized that I had very expensive/family jewelry in my bags that were on trolley so I went back down to the lobby and the trolley was still just sitting there in the middle of the lobby with all my belongings/wedding dress, etc. on it. The front desk was across the room and they wouldn't be able to see if something got stolen or not... so we ended up rolling the trolley back to the room ourselves. My bridal party and moms were getting ready in the suite with me that day. As each person (incl. make-up artist and photog) arrived to the front desk all they had to say was that they were with the wedding party and the front desk would send them up to our room (the room also has a doorbell!!!). Later on we had some takeout for lunch and realized we didn't have any cutlery. We called the front desk and they asked how many sets of cutlery we needed and within a minute someone arrived with 5 whole sets of silverware. We also later called for a USB cable. My bridal party and myself used their Jaguar service to get to the wedding venue. Awesome. Upon returning to our room after our wedding, they had left us a handwritten card, a bottle of wine, and some goodies. Thank you Opus, for making our wedding so memorable.
