"Very nice - but pricey"
Pool is amazing, gym is great, didn't play golf but nice to have on site. The staff were absolutely great! Really appreciated the staff. Main downside is the price of everything on site is very expensive. Almost prohibitive for a family with any sort of budget.
"Would never stay here by choice"
Stayed four nights for a convention. - Check in was a nightmare, line longer than Vegas. Place is a madhouse. - Had requested a King only to hear that my only option was a two-double-bed room (not Queens - double beds!). Front desk was less than helpful (and not very nice), kept repeating "we can't guarantee anything". - Room overlooked the garage. - Worst of all - housekeeping completely skipped cleaning my room the first day! No water refill, no shampoo, nothing. - Toilet ran all night. - Food was pretty bad. - And to top it all off, the coffee machine didn't work. They offered $25 bucks, but heck that doesn't cover tax so who cares. I will avoid this place like crazy if I ever come back to Orlando!
"August 2016 visit - we come back every year"
We stayed here for 2 days in August 2016 while visiting Disneyworld. The room was phenomenal with a view of the laser light show and pool. Kenny L. from the IT department checked us in and was super helpful. He saw that we had young children with us and asked if we needed a in-room refrigerator and even offered us a portable crib. He informed us of the free shuttle to the Disney park. He accommodated our late check out request with no issues. The hotel is great and the service is superb. We come back every year.
I had a horrible experience at the Courtyard Lake Buena Vista and Matt Medina, the manager at this hotel was kind enough to offer us a room when we were left with no rooms at 2:00 AM at the other hotel. The service and staff at this hotel made us feel welcome and truly cared for. I cannot thank Matt Medina enough for his kind service and attention. This hotel is beautiful and exquisite. You wont be disappointed!
"Toilets that don't flush and beds you can't sleep in"
Last week I had the misfortune of staying at the Marriott World Center for a few nights before checking out and moving to another hotel. Take my advice and stay clear of unkept and poorly staffed so called resort. I'm a life long Platinum with Marriott with over 1500 stays and I can't recall such a poor experience. The toilet clogs so much that each room actually has a plunger (see photo). Nothing like using a plunger in a suit before heading off to a morning meeting. The bed broke the first night I layer down on it. Granted I'm not as light as I was 30 years ago, but I'm only 185 pounds so I'm not at a bed breaking weight any where else. The staff here are all about generating revenue and trying to sell you "the vacation club" every time you walk to the elevator. No one seemed to care or acknowledge what a poor guest experience their out dated, worn out, ill staffed property is providing their guests. I complained to the front desk manager who was less than stellar. His answer to the situation was he could take $50 off my bill this one time as a gesture of his good will. He acted like he was doing me a favor. I told him to keep it and I wouldn't be returning. I recommend staying at one of the hundreds of modern hospitable hotels with working plumbing and beds that stay assembled.
