We have just returned from a stay at this lovely hotel. It's a very cool, contemporary hotel- a lot of thought has gone into it's design. Our room was huge with a fantastic bathroom. The pool area was superb. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Apart from breakfast which was good we did not eat at the hotel but were told the standard was very good. It is situated a 5 minute drive from the centre of Tavira. Would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting the area.
Really liked it…renovated ‘60s/’70s' building, but integrated parts of the old style and added new bits…they went to town on Ikea, but on “good” choices like Stockholm range etc. Room very comfortable, good solid bed, powah showah probably the best I’ve been in, plenty of space too…liked the Algotherm toiletries…nice sunny balcony too. Staff young/friendly/professional throughout and got a good vibe, in that they seemed happy in their jobs (not always the case). Had a few beers/gins on the terrace overlooking the pool…nice and relaxing and the additional architectural features worked well. Decided on tapas instead of full meal and liked the coated prawns a lot…beef carpaccio was missing oil/lemon, but sorted quickly…waiter made a good recommendation for wine (Monte de Peceguina, Alentejo (and drank it frequently during the rest of the holiday)), but €30 was profiteering compared to the prices we saw elsewhere. Breakfast was good, with a healthy range of fruit/yoghurt, breads/cheese/cold cuts and even an English breakfast attempt…I say attempt as a few things were off, but particularly the ‘orrible wet mini frankfurters…the stuff of nightmares…remove their mushy flesh from the buffet post-haste! Other than that and the wine, it’s a great hotel and hope it does well.
"Ticks all the boxes re A good Hotel"
Ticks all the boxes you look for in good hotel in this price range , located just outside Tavira , very modern , a minimalist feel about the place .Comfortable lounge just off the reception , excellent large pool area with plenty of pool furniture , we particularly liked the outdoor lounge area , with really comfortable chairs .& good shade .Bedrooms are large if a little sparest ,adequate breakfast served on the third floor in a terrace setting . Finally lots of free car parking + a mini bus to take u into Tavira , check with reception for the times , wi fi in the bedrooms very poor , less than 1.0 Mbps on occasions , but ok in the public areas .
Lovely big room, fantastic breakfast, helpful staff, all the good things everyone else has said I agree with. It is 4km from town, we walked everywhere. The best way to get to town is via the salt pans, lovely and peaceful, lots of birds, it took about an hour. Quickest is via the main road but to avoid busy traffic on our return we walked to the shopping centre, behind that go straight on, under the rail bridge to the next roundabout, straight over and to the left of the supermarket is a dirt road that takes you to a quiet residential road, turn right and the hotel is 8 minutes away. We did a couple of trips by train and walked to Conceicao station, again beside the salt pans, allow at least 40 minutes to get there. Would stay again.
"Top notch hotel :)"
Stayed here a couple of days in March as leader for a group training in the very nice areas around Tavira. The hotel is outstanding I have to say and the real difference is as always the staff, so nice and customer oriented. We had some pretty odd requests which were all fulfilled thanks to Sofia Henrique and her colleagues. So be proud all of you and I will definitely come back ! And yes, beds are very comfortable too :)
