The Pakat Suites hotel is located in the heart of Vienna, in the immediate vicinity of the Belvedere palace and the city centre. The State Opera can be reached in a 15-minute walk, and St. Stephen's Cathedral is only 2 underground stops away.
"Extremely helpful staff, but loud renovations all day"
The hotel is in an excellent location--very quiet neighborhood but just one block from a major street with the tram. Across the street from a restaurant and there are some other cafes within walking distance. About 10-15 minutes (loud) walk to the Ring Strasse area. Room was very large for a European hotel and bed was comfortable. My biggest tip for Vienna: Buy the Vienna card (the front desk sells them). It will pay for itself in 1-2 days depending on how many attraction s you see in a day.
"Great Value for the Money. Very Comfortable."
Throughout the whole reservation process, starting with Daniela, we had a great experience at Pakat Suites , which is somewhere between mid-range and luxury. The suites are rather unique - quite modern feeling and very spacious, with wooden floor ,which is great against odors and allergies. The breakfast was included, and it was plentiful, fresh and tasty with combination of hot and cold selections. The hotel does not have a restaurant and there is no room service. As you enter the suite, there is a small toilet room separated from the bathroom. The bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and featured both a bathtub and shower, and like most hotels we visited: a weight scale to keep you honest and no overindulge . A bottle opener was provided - another one of the nice little practical touches you really appreciate when provided, and I liked the fact that the lighting in the bathroom was sufficiently bright - not the dim lighting you often find in hotel bathrooms. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is pretty much equidistant from two subway stations, and not especially close to either one. The walk to these stations was pleasant enough though - maybe 10-15 minutes, depending on how quickly you're moving. There is a small bar with good selection of drinks right next to the lobby/reception area. The minor things keeping this hotel from getting higher marks were: No coffee-making facilities. No mini bar. Rather limited TV channels. No room service. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel, and would stay again. While it is a bit away from the action/center of town, it is still within walking distance, and also from the train station. It was a very comfortable stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
"Good value for money. Great rooms. "
A little out of the center of town - 15 mins walk - but a great hotel. Friendly staff, large and newly decorated rooms. Breakfast ok. At €16 fairly priced for a 5 star hotel but quite basic. Own basement parking makes arrival and departure with own car convenient.
"Very satisfied with all but a few small things"
I'd say that Pakat Suites is somewhere between mid-range and luxury. The suites are rather unique - quite modern feeling and very spacious. Instead of an actual mini-bar, there is a little menu above the fridge listing all the things that would be in the mini-bar that you just need to call and place an order for - like limited room service, but they describe it as sort of a mini-bar equivalent. A small toilet room was separate from the bathroom. The balcony was great and the king-sized bed quite comfortable. The bathroom featured both a bathtub and shower. A bottle opener was provided - another one of the nice little practical touches you really appreciate when provided, and I liked the fact that the lighting in the bathroom was sufficiently bright - not the dim lighting you often find in hotel bathrooms. It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is pretty much equidistant from two subway stations, and not especially close to either one. The walk to these stations was pleasant enough though - maybe 10-15 minutes, depending on how quickly you're moving. The little things I missed here that kept Pakat Suites from getting a full score of 5: No coffee-making facilities and rather limited TV channels. Perhaps they consider it absurd to be in Vienna and make coffee in one's room, but I need at least a cup or two before stepping out the door. As for the TV channels, there are plenty of local Austrian channels in German and news channels in a large variety of languages - and little else. I'd absolutely stay there again though in spite of these little nit-picky complaints. It was an extremely comfortable stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This hotel is located right across the Belvedere Park, in a very quiet area, 25-30 minutes walk from Stephan's Platz. We spent 3 nights in a suite in this great hotel and we liked it a lot ! Rooms are big, modern, very clean, great sleeping conditions, TV with international channels, good wi-fi connection for free, air conditioning. The suites also have a sitting/relaxation area and a dressing room. The minibar is usually empty, but you can order anything from the existing list. Bathroom is very big, modern, with a very big shower cabin, toilet and bathtub. Free toilletries, refilled daily. The room has a big balcony, with wiev to the hotel's inner courtyard. Train station is only a short walk away. We didn't have breakfast, but i'm sure it is like in the pictures, because the room was :) I highly recommend this hotel !
