"Good hotel "
The hotel is in a very good location you can easily walk to the big square and get a guide or horse carriage and you can tour around Marrakech , it was clean and the house is amazing truly breathtaking you fell as if you were traveling through time with the exquisite architecture of the Palais. The rooftop is amazing ! You get a full view of the medina . the breakfast was included and it was delicious as the food in general a true Moroccan taste and experience I am giving it a 5 star review because of the friendly staff specially Monem and Isham they made our stay here incredible ! And made all our request possible without hesitating The only bad thing I would say about here is the airport pick up they didn't showed up in the airport tried calling and told us it was not possible even when we arranged the airport pick up in advance they really need yo fix that Specially when you go to another country and it's a different culture and the language barrier
I stayed here with my friend for a girlie city break and it was just what we needed and met all our requirements and more! It is located in the heart of the Medina so easy to get around walking to most of the tourist locations, you are undoubtedly going to get lost at some point during your stay while in the Medina but with some good map reading and also asking the locals you will find your way back to the Riad. The Palais Sebban is located down a winding street where you really think you are not going to find anything and then you walk into this wonderful Riad. It is truly a spectacular building and I could not stop talking photos as the colours, designs and general layout is really beautiful. The swimming pool is more of a 'plunge' pool as it is very small, but after walking around the city on a hot day it is a welcome release to have a dip and lay on the loungers in the late afternoon sun. Apart from the breakfast each morning which was nice we only had dinner the once at the Riad as we wanted to try out the other lovely restaurants in the city. The dinner was very nice, limited menu choice but enough for us and what we ordered it was very much enjoyed. We ordered a local white wine and this too was very nice. I would highly recommend this Riad to stay during your stay, it is not cheap but worth the extra money. We had a suite with its own terrace and that too was a lovely place to relax late afternoon. Although we had requested a twin room with single beds and it was not possible to split the double bed in the room so we asked for the sofa to be made into a bed and flip a coin as to who was sleeping on that!
"Beautiful Place, Amazing Staff"
The first good thing about this place is its location. It's in the medina but you can access it quite easily, so you can walk there by night without getting lost. You can walk to a lot of souks and are five minutes away from Jemma el Fna. The place is amazingly beautiful, it's called a Palais for a reason. It has a lot of cozy and comfortable places to be around in case you need to chill and stay in the ryad for a day. It has terraces with beds and great views. The place really is stunning. Now, the staff is maybe the best thing of this place. Sana in the front desk is the sweetest and nicest girl ever, Mohamed, Monaim, Isham and Mr. Bean made me feel at home every single day. I was very sad when I left and I will forever remember all of them. Breakfasts are included and are varied and abundant. The food is awesome and it's not expensive at all. Try Moroccan dishes because they're truly good. One day I ordered a club sandwich and it was awful, it almost made me not want to eat at the ryad again. Thankfully, my sister ordered Moroccan dishes the next day and they were superb, so I guess they're much better with traditional Moroccan food. The one thing that bothered me was that they didn't pick me up at the airport even though they said they would. I had to take a cab from the airport, and got ripped off. So just make sure you ask two or three times and then confirm because they did the same thing to my sister and my mother. The rooms are really nice, mine kept a little humidity and there wasn’t a shower curtain so the first time I showered I spilled water all over the place. I guess they could improve some little things, but in general I totally recommend this place. You will not regret staying in this ryad.
Stayed here in june 2015 with my partner. Amazing lobby and charming courtyard with pool. I loved the interior and it had a nice roof top with a view. We received a warm welcoming and were served mint tea while our rooms were completed. The reception staff were service minded and friendly, so was some of the others in the staff. Really loved the older gentleman in the kitchen, but one of the other waiters hardly noticed us and did'nt really seem like he wanted to serve us (but he were friendly to everyone that spoke french or arabic..). Room was ok but toilet could have been cleaner, not a problem tho. AC were good. The air in the room was very moist and due to concrete it smelled like a moldy cellar. I had a slight problem with breathing because of asthma, and the reception did offered us another room higher in the building, but it had the same problem with moisture. Continental breakfurst was nice and served in the courtyard. But it was haunted by a big amount of wasps so it would have been good if everything were covered - just some of the dishes were covered and the chilled products weren't placed on a cooling block (and therefore warm when we had a later breakfurst..). All in all I give this place 3,5 . It's charming and are perfectly placed inside the medina close to market and the square, as well as a road outside were you can catch a cab. If the rooms (mainly the moist) were just a bit better, the wasp and cooling problems at breakfurst were solved and the staff were more coherent regarding the service (the good ones were really good but the bad ones were really bad) - I would give this place a full 5!
"Fabulous hotel highly recommended for adults."
Stayed for 3 nights. Having negotiated crossing the main road (quite an experience in itself!) and the winding streets - upon arrival we were delighted with the peace and tranquility in stark contrast to the busy streets outside. Fabulous decor, mossaic tiles everywhere, wonderful sofa arrangements. Colour! Colour! Colour! and the fragrance of oranges from the oil burners. The roof terraces (there are several) are fabulous - very hot indeed! with shady areas too. Lots of choice as to where to settle with a glass of wine and a book. You can see from the hotel photos the pool and dining/bar area - also fabulous! this is the main central point of the hotel, which is also where the entrance to the Hamman is. We dined here, took breakfast here, drinks from the bar here and took a plunge in the pool (cold but refreshing!). Plenty going on in this part of the hotel (central courtyard) but so no much as to be noisy or un-restful. We enjoyed a wonderful massage in the Hamman. All the staff were lovely. Very friendly. We wanted for nothing. An extra pillow was delivered to our room without a hitch. A massage (complimentary included in our package) - although not available on our first day (as pre-booked) was arranged for the next day and was worth the wait! I would definitely recommend this hotel for Adult visitors and would love to return. We met some fellow guests who were on their 6th visit and still loving it!
