"Great location and value"
This is more a guest house than a hotel as there are very few rooms. Each room has a different theme, (white, orange..). It is on the main street but no big signage. When you do arrive you might have to buzz to get in and after you check-in you use your card to enter. You will need to go up a few stairs to reach the lobby. Breakfast was included and you order each morning and was delivered to your room, Good selection and portions. Staff was friendly and very helpful. There are lots of restaurants near by as well as the "old" part of town which have great little shops. Would stay here again.
"Perfect location "
This is a beautiful small hotel in the very centre of sorrento. The bedrooms are very modern and exceptionally clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and always arrived very quickly after it was ordered. There is no dining or bar area so breakfast is normally ordered to your room. However there is a small terrace on the roof which you can use for a small group to have breakfast together. The central location could not be better and I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in sorrento.
And by interesting, I mean slightly odd. First off, this hotel is easy to miss. Had we not been traveling with a driver who dropped us off in front of the hotel, we would definitely have missed it as the door from the street is pretty nondescript. The hotel clerk that checked us in was fairly efficient, although someone only staffs the desk from 9am to 9pm I believe. And from then on out, there is a guard. Thankfully we didn't have any issues overnight, but I'm not sure who would contact if you did as the hotel does not appear to be staffed after that. There is a set of stairs that need to be climbed to even get to the front desk, which can be troublesome if you have heavy bags. There is no elevator as far as I could tell. The hotel itself has three stories, and there is a small elevator that can take you to your room once you have checked in. I actually got stuck on the elevator going up (scary!) and after that, just used their stairs to get to and from my room (the stairs are outside, however) and you can hear your fellow guests using the stairs if your too is by them which can be slightly annoying. The A/C in the room was barely working. I turned it on and left the room, in the hopes that it would cool down while I was away. But unfortunately, no luck! The room requires that a key be in the system at all times.. even at night though, the room never seemed to cool down fully. I slept with all of the windows open. Breakfast in the morning was a pleasant affair. It is brought up to your room, so you can leisurely eat in the privacy of your own room. My room was lovely. It had its own balcony! But the beds were a little too hard. Very close to the pain square in downtown Sorrento, and the location could not have been better. Also very close to the train station, making it very convenient to get in and out of the city.
"Average Stay With a Few Hiccups "
Nice guest house, in a great location in Sorrento and within walking distance of train station and loads of bars and restaurant. Very small, however, room was fairly cramped although clean. There is no restaurant or breakfast area so you order to your room. Biggest issues were power being intermittent when room key was in the power slot. Also had no running water at all one night and morning - in the morning the shower was spitting cold water intermittently and there was no hot water on a number of occasions during our stay. Upon phoning reception about having no water, I was told that the water supply is off from midnight-6am for maintenance, I feel they should tell you this when you check in. He also did not believe me that we had no water in the morning. Staff were generally friendly but could be more helpful when hearing of issues with the hotel.
"Great location and lovely staff"
Excellent location being merely 100 metres or so from the main square Piazza Tasso and only a 5 minute walk from the train station so very conveniently placed. We had the orange room at the front of the hotel facing on to the street with a French balcony. Great fun watching the world go by. Surprisingly quiet in the room despite the central location. Both the room and bathroom were spacious and well appointed. Staff very friendly and obliging. There is no breakfast room at the hotel so you phone down to reception in the morning to place your order and a very nice continental breakfast is very promptly brought up on a tray to your room.
