"Classic Business Hotel"
I spent one night at Palladia while attending a conference there and I did not have the time to try all what the hotel offers, so my review can be limited. Still, location is okay for a business hotel, it is a short drive from the airport (around 10 minutes) and 5 kilometers from the city centre. The conference room was very nice and suited very well the kind of conference I was attending. The room was also okay, kind of standard for these hotels. Catering for the conference dinner and lunches was very good. Breakfast not bad but I would have expected something more. One negative point is the WLAN connection: Actually it is free and worked well, but since I connected, I have been receiving daily tons of spam (in French) at my email address. And even if I was there on business... it was World Cup time and nowhere in the hotel, not even in the bar, was it possible to watch the football matches. The room rate was good (special rate for conference participants).
"Really needs an upgrade"
Toulouse is not the place to indulge in fantastic hotels, I go there regularly and have tried many. I dont know why it is but the quality considering the prices for the hotels in the city is pretty poor. Palladia is similar- it is by far not cheap, but at max average. From outside it looks pretty unattractive, heritage from the time it was built I guess. Positive: - rooms interior is ok, large comfortable beds, size of the room good. - Location not far from airport, also some restaurants around plus a large carrefour not far. - free parking Negative: - fitness/ spa not included but seperate business across the street that charges hefty fees - breakfast poor, design and interior of the restaurant is 80s style and needs urgent remodeling I still stay there a lot due to location and rooms which are fine.
"What a shame !"
At first glance, the hotel looks very impressive, but it soon becomes apparent that it's all show. The chap on reception was extremely offhand and could not even tell us whether the Hospital Purpan was within walking distance. He said he had no idea. We eventually discovered it was just across the road, which he must have known. The bedroom was undeniably comfortable but the door to the balcony was jammed shut so we couldn't open the door/window for fresh air and outside on the fake grass were dozens of cigarette ends and spent matches - ugh !!!!! We didn't take the breakfast as it was massively overpriced. All in all, all show and no soul. We did report the jammed door and were met with a smile and "thankyou, I'll note that" A hotel for businessmen who are on expenses. As I said, what a shame - won't be staying there again.
We chose this hotel for the spa facilities, it is quite a way from Toulouse city centre, do not be fooled by the spa facilities it shows because they are not included and the cost is 40 euro per person to have a sauna and hammam, unbelievable, it's like one of those cakes you see in a shop window looks amazing then when you bite into it you get a horrible taste, rooms are average but I would say comfortable but certainly over priced for the location. Would not recommend this hotel and we will not be staying here again.
"Room for Improvement"
I had two nights in Palladia. The Interieur comes into ages now. This means there has been dirt spider webs marks from cigarettes (even in non smokers room) ... So 20years ago it has been stylish and nice.Breakfast ok, but expensive. In consequence I may would stay in Palladia again, but only during simmer vacation whilst the prices are more reasonable
