"Mykonos - white & blue! "
My boyfriend had been to Mykonos before and he said we had to go and that I would love it... he certainly wasn't wrong! It one of the most breathtaking places I have been to, and the Palladium Boutique Hotel was the perfect place to stay. It's modern, fresh and has the perfect boutique feel I love hotels to have. The reception area was very informal with a welcoming sit down desk and seating area inside and outside so you didn't have to stand waiting to check in. There was a drink offered and they recommended getting a Quad bike from a local place just up the road for the week- I think you have to get one as there really isn't a better way to drive round Mykonos and park easily in the town too. (Just be mindful to not leave any belongings on them and lock them up properly when you are in town.) Our room was exactly as advertised with a door from the pathway near the pool area. Modern bathroom with large shower and light four poster bed which was very comfy. Our door opened up outside to a plunge pool to cool off after sunbathing which also lights up underwater in the evening. The only negative would be that when we went there wasn't much privacy at the back with the car park being right next to us but I know renovations were going on so this may have now changed. Each staff member was a pleasure to deal with particularly the new barman that had started work there just the month before in April. The pool menu food was great for a snack during the day and the cocktails were really good too. At breakfast there were a lot of fresh options available and sitting out on the balcony overlooking the coast was the best way to spend the morning. We only had dinner here once which was very good and if you wanted to every night there was a lot to choose from on the menu. We didn't as we had a lot of recommendations for great places to eat in the town which were amazing so I'd advise having a balance of eating at the hotel and eating out too. Great stay and it was very chilled as May time is the month before peak season with it still being nice hot weather so there were always lots of beds available at the pool.
Hotel and staff are great. Our host was always on hand and made sure we were well looked after. They even supplied us with drinks to the room when it was especially hot outside. (the little things) We also had a meal in the hotel restaurant and was great food. We went at the beginning of the school holidays but this hotel does not sea to be the type of place for children, not that it doesn't offer facilities for such more it seems to be aimed towards couples. There was the odd child about so if you have kids this is still a good place to go. The hotel and grounds are very well maintained and the rooms for Greece are some of the best we've stayed in. Well worth the trip and beach is just a 5 min walk.
"Nice hotel near the beach "
Hotel is very nice, service is great, good buffet breakfast easy to get carried away and eat too much!! Rooms are nice and have private patio areas that open right up to a nice pool. The beach right down the street is ok, but there definitely nicer beaches on the island. The bus too town was convenient and there water shuttles to the other beaches. Enjoyed the hotel overall. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and ferry as well.
amazing service is an understatement there was nothing they could not do very clean and excellent food both at breakfast and lunch rooms are really great and so is the pool only draw back is you need a car
Great hotel, superb staff, super rooms although bathrooms a little bit on the small side. Drinks expensive everywhere on the island. Bus stop outside hotel entrance. Mykonos Town a must visit, just 10 minutes away. Would love to go again! Hotel also transfer you from airport free of charge.
