"Loved our stay"
We stayed here for a few nights. Hotel is beautiful. Our room was large. Hotel is located in Sun tec city. It was an easy walk to major shopping and attractions. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall.
"Our 25th anniversary "
We booked this hotel for our 25th anniversary , everything was great . Fast check in , smiley faces, good breakfast ( not expended choices for arabs ) large room , clean one . The location is an add , and it is connected with a big mall that has almost everything with suitable prices . The hip hop bus is in very same place . My husband adored Singapore. If we go back. We will go back to this hotel
"Our second time here and not our last"
This hotel is in the ideal location and is walking distance from the Singapore Flyer and the Sands Skypark, both must dos! You can also enter the underground Marina Mall from the hotel lobby, miles of shops and eateries, great if its raining. We paid for room and breakfast but when we arrived we upgraded to the top floor Pacific Club where you can have breakfast, and evening drinks and food (Between 6.00 & 8.00pm) all inclusive with a 360* view. When we stay next time we will book room only. Cleanliness and service are first class.
"Fantastic property- close to City centre"
I recently stayed in Pan Pacific at Marina Bay for a business trip. It is fantastic hotel, very well located and 5-10 mins distance from MBFC, Marina Bay Dans, Merlion, Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the bay. Rooms are spacious and the lobby is fabulous- with stunning interiors. What I like about the corridors is how they overlook at lobby instead of being suck in corner without any ventilation in large hotels. The best part is that the hotel is attached to the Marina Mall and the Marina Mandarin hotel through the mall. Highly recommended- I am surely staying the next time!
"Nice Renovated Room"
I tried one night at the Pan Pacific Marina Bay. My last visit was 8 years ago. It’s an average stay marred by noise and other issues. Since then, the hotel has embarked on a multi-million renovation to bring the common areas and room up to date. I got a good rate for one night which is a Junior Studio Suite and also club access, all for under 500 Singapore dollars net which I think is a good deal. Arrival On arrival, I asked to check-in at the club lounge but was instead escorted to a dedicated check-in room at the ground floor that was meant for club guests. Check-in was a bit longer than usual ( took 10 mins ) but I was assigned the room type I wanted ( Pacific Harbour Studio ). The Room The Pacific Harbor Studio Suite is part of the new rooms introduced during the renovation project and is actually a large junior suite with separate bed and living room and an expanded bathroom featuring walk-in rain-shower stall and a large bath-tub. On first impression, the suite is quite impressive. It’s contemporary luxury done very well with good lay-out.Besides the separate sleeping quarters, living room and ensuite bathroom, there is also a walk-in closet, great for those with lots of luggage. The fittings and décor are of good, if not top quality. The open concept bathroom especially is very nice with all the modern amenities one would expect. There are two LCD TVs, one facing the bed and one facing the sitting sofa. The view is the bustling Marina bay area but was partially blocked by the neighbouring Mandarin Oriental. It’s still a good view though. The mini-bar is free and included in the room rate for non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, very generous of the hotel. There was also a welcome fruit platter. Internet is included free of charge and of reasonable speed. The room does have issues though. First is the bed which was very hard. Apparently, it is the same uncomfortable bed mattress that I was complaining about in my last stay. The pillows were also very heavy. Accordingly, I was not abe to sleep well during my stay. Bed comfort is a subjective preference and what was OK for me might be deemed too soft by another so I won’t fault the hotel much on this. The bathroom looks great but for some reason, it took 1.5 hours to fll up the bath-tub with the taps turned max. The shower stall have good water pressure and feature dual-shower heads and over-head rainforest shower. For some weird reasons, there is no hand-held shower, a huge pet peeve of mine. I wonder why did the hotel miss this out while renovating the room' Common Areas and Location During my stay, I frequent the Pacific Club lounge for evening cocktail and breakfast. It was located at the highest foor of the hotel and after renovation, it features a 360 Degree view of the Marina Bay area skyline. The evening cocktail was particularly impressive, with the lounge serving a full set of the usual drinks such as champagne, red/white wine and beers and also a bar with custom made cocktail. Breakfast was on the other hand not so impressive with bare selection of hot food items. Do note that club guests can also choose to dine at the café which features a full buffet breakfast. I did not visit the café. Do note that the gym is rather small, and it’s self service so the equipment there were not properly cleaned and it was crowded when I tried to use it in the morning. I think the gym is too small for the size of the hotel, wiith only 5 threadmill, one of which was broken and waiting for repair. So I was not able to use the gym. The hotel is directly connected to the Marina Square shopping mall and from there, the Suntec City Conference Centre and the Millenium Walk are all easy reach by walking. It also takes about 15 mins to walk to the Marina Bay Sands Shoppes, possibly the single largest shopping complex in Singapore. Airport is about 20 mins by taxi. Overall, no fault with the location which is excellent and there is no shortage of restaurants and local eateries all within the vicinity of the hotel. Service Service overall is fine but I find they generally just follow Standard Operating Procedures and don’t try to do more rather than what is required. I do noticed longer queues for check-in during peak hours. Overall, it’s a short stay so nothing much to complain about. Staff at the lounge were more polite and welcoming. One issue I don’t understand is why the reception desk for club guests is not located at the club lounge itself but rather at the lobby' Certainly space is not an issue as the club lounge occupies the entire floor. The staff on duty was finding it difficult to explain that to me as well. Conclusion I am not that sure if I will return. Mainly due to the issues with the bed and the lack of a handheld shower. Overall, I guess it’s OK. It’s budget 5-star with nice additions and will pleased most travelers.
