Beautifully located even if was very far from the city. The hotel had a shuttle service to Chiang Mai twice a day and it took about an hour. But it could be full. The view was amazing and very relaxing surroundings even if the hotel was a bit on the expensive side at the time The service was good and the food as well
"It is worth the money."
Luckily we had a chance to inspect the rooms by ourselves before making the decision which room type we would want to stay. We were happy with such a spacious room with jacuzzi. But it had no great view in which we were ok with the price we paid anyway.
"Lunch with a million dollar view"
We had a great lunch here unplanned. We were driving and saw this sign of the road and decided to stop by for lunch. They made you park your car at the bottom of the hill and escort you by using their golf cart or car to the cafe location which is on top of the hill. They served northern thai food, we had pork curry, clear tofu soup and another dish that I forgot whats the name of it. Everything was wonderful, the curry is fragrant and on the sweet side in comparison to regular curry in a good way, the soup came out on a fiery pot so it keeps hot and delicious. Coz we were impressed by the food we proceed to have desserts, we ordered banana fritters and banana split, both were good. Most of all this place is at the perfect setting, you get to see the whole view of the mountain and down the hill, too. I will definitely come back to stay here and hoping to experience their spa one day. Worth a visit and its worth it to spend the money. Will post some pics soon.....
"Really fantastic stay"
Really beautiful resort, in such a picturesque location. Loved the fragrant smells, the super-nice staff, and relaxing feel of this place. It's an hour from the city, so it's probably not the best idea to go into the city every day. We did once in 3 days. The zip-lining was superb and is only 15 minutes away. And Pantawan cooking school (separate review) is absolutely fantastic. We arranged both through the hotel's concierge. The hotel's cooking school was closed - so they redirected us to Pantawan. And that's a good thing. Only negatives are that the entertainment facilities are a bit worn. We used the archery, chess, ping-pong. All could use a bit of refresh and upkeep. Family villa was perfect for our family of 4, with an upstairs bedroom (king) and downstairs (2xtwin). This wasn't very clear on agoda where we booked, or on the resort's website, but that's what it was and it worked out very well. These rooms could easily sleep a total of 6 given that each has a daybed.
"A heavenly place, while the great staffs make it home"
A great escape from crowded city. 1.5 hours distance from airport by car. You could ask kind hotel staff to pick up you from the airport. There are free shuttle bus to the downtown and night market etc. The hotels are built in mountains, with villas, main buildings and small parks, mediation places, and swimming pools for you to explore. The villa faces mountains and trees. The room in the villa is spacious. I found fireflies in the first night. A quiet place to stay, no noises all day long except for birds singing. :-) The room is very clean, with Thai style decoration and fragrance. The hotel pays high attention to privacy - no other guests will have chance to disturb you. There is CD machine in the room - an indeed pleasant surprise to me. We found a very beautiful CD, with all kinds of natural birds singing. With the music on, the stay becomes more special. Besides all, we enjoy the staffs the most. They always smile to you. Very thoughtful, polite and like to communicate with you. They are there to make you happy. Some more highlights - the restaurant. The Thai foods are great with reasonable price. Could book a table outdoor by the mountain view for dinner - you will get a very romantic one. Have been stayed in many hotels in traveling - this is the best ever. Would like to re-visit with family in future.
