"Awesome resort but...."
The overall resort is fantastic. Beautiful grounds and lots of stuff to do. However, they charge an arm and a leg for parking ($37 PER NIGHT) and "resort fees" ($30 PER DAY), which they did not make clear until we had already booked the trip.
The bungalows were nicely appointed with comfortable beds and bathroom amenities. The restaurants were really nice and the Barefoot Bar was nice but the service for breakfast was really slow and we went off site for breakfast but the lunch was really good but a little expensive.
Love this resort, nice, quaint location! Sort of gives you a tropical feel. My husband and I spent our honeymoon here 23 years ago, everything was just as I remembered. A few renovations, but resort is still as beautiful as it was years ago.
Fun resort, overall very high quality. Beaches around hotel were a little dirty. Rooms were nice and quiet. Tidal Restaurant was no where near the quality of other similarly priced restaurants. We'll definitely be back, just not to Tidal.
"Loved the food & creativity of presentations!"
I was at the property for a sales meeting. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and creativity of the food served. The chef did an amazing job of offering a delicious variety to please everyone. The presentations were unexpected and highly creative, especially for such a large group. It was consistently great over the two days! I fondly remember the beef tacos, breakfast frittata, yogurt parfaits served in a half coconut!!, fresh fish, and the desserts were fantastic! The entire staff was very welcoming and ready to take care of our needs.
