"Front desk service could be friendlier and location a bit chaotic"
Have stayed at Parc 55 a couple of times. Since that time, hotel as been renovated and it has a nice lobby and restaurant bar. Entering into the valet parking is a bit tricky because of traffic but, valet service was friendly although when we retrieved our car, it took about 15 minutes with other valet personnel standing around chatting and on the phone. Not a good visual for people waiting for their cars. As an Hilton Honors member, am used to friendly welcome service at the Hiltons but, this one front desk person, I believe his name was Michael, seemed very unhappy in his job. No smile, barely wanted to make eye contact or converse and was rudely impatient when there was a problem with the credit card machine. Having been in the hospitality industry myself, I finally said, it would help if you smiled. It caught him off guard but, did not change his demeanor. Not a good impression for Hilton's front desk service. Our board was thinking of changing to Parc 55 for our regular SF board meetings but, my colleague also felt the front desk service was not warm and friendly. Checking out staff the next morning was much friendlier. Room was not ready but, that was ok...if I was told in a friendly manner. All in all room was nice but, I felt as if there was a gang war outside with loud music and banging and even gunshot like noises. I was on 8th floor room 815. Restaurant in lobby a bit pricey for what it offers. All in all not sure this would be a hotel I would return to...
"No sleep in frisco"
Street noise was horrendous in the room. Heard late night music, refuse collection, shop deliveries. No sound proofing at all. No sleep at all. Room was nice and clean. Comfy bed but no sleep due to the noise
Great place to stay could not fault it dead central bed very comfortable and most important no waiting time on the lift which i find myself doing most of the time in the states accomadation staff also very friendly and helpful nothing was a hassle
Stopped at the Parc 55 on our 1st stop of our holiday. Really nice rooms, great location, only just round the corner from Union Square. Bar ideal for a late night drink. Right by a subway & bus station for exploring the city & the tram terminal was no more than 200 yards away
"Great location, lovely stay!! "
I stayed here as a group of 4 in a twin double room which was very spacious with a lovely, very clean bathroom! I couldn't it recommend anywhere more convenient for pretty much everything!! A quick two minute walk from the entrance is the start of the cable car route that takes you directly to Fisherman's Wharf, across the road is the entrance to Westfield shopping center and there are plenty of other shopping and food areas all around, union square is just behind it too. Price is a little steep but definitely worth it if you have the money :)
