"WOULD NOT KNOW IT WAS A HILTON"
My first visit to this hotel which joined the Hilton Group about 3 years ago. From the outside you would not know it was a Hilton--inside more like an airport checkin area---cold --uninviting--dreary. My room had delightful views- was -dull badly needs upgrading---power points in the wrong areas. Relative to the Hilton across the street--this is the very poor cousin !! Breakfast was exceptionally good with a great variety of food and excellent staff. So much money needs to be spent here to upgrade !! It is totally overpriced for what it offers.
"Great location and wonderful people"
Rooms are large and clean. The staff is completely friendly and were very helpful. Mavis at the Hilton Honors front desk is fantastic and is very knowledgeable and efficient! The location of this hotel is right in the heart of downtown SF, Union Square.
"Great location, decent hotel"
Travelled to SF in Sept. 2016. The hotel was decent, but pretty tight for a family of four. The Good: Awesome location. Close to everything. Very walkable to great shopping. Convenient location for self parking up the street. The Bad: Double beds made for a pretty uncomfortable 2 nights sleep. If there are 3-4 reasonably sized people in your party, I would look elsewhere for larger beds. Overall the place was okay, but won't be my first choice the next time we are in SF.
"Average Hotel in a Great Location"
We stayed at the Hilton Parc 55 for two nights in October 2016. The hotel is huge but the amenities are lacking. Check in was easy and the staff was pleasant. Our room was spacious but a little worse for the wear (for the price!). We didn't eat in the hotel, food was a little pricey, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. I can't say enough about the location though. We walked everywhere; Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping right outside the door. Not sure I would stay here again.
"Reasonable downtown SF hotel"
I stayed here for a couple of nights for business. The hotel reception is on the 2nd floor so a little journey up the escalator. Nothing inconvenient. It's a big hotel but check in was seamless, as was check out. Because of my loyalty status I got "free" breakfast which consisted of a small kiosk with coffee, fruit and muffins. Fine for me but be careful where you sit down to eat it! Room wise, nice and large there were 2 queens in mine. No view, but I wasn't there for that. It scored a good 4/5 on my "darkness" scale with only one piece of electrical tape needed to cover up the TV's LED. The room was quiet, and beds comfy.
