My husband and I loved this hotel. It truly is a five star place. The location is right next to the beautiful Borghese Gardens and it's a quiet area away from the bustle of the city center but still very close to all the main attractions. The hotel staff is wonderfully polite and helpful. There are cabs waiting outside the hotel ready to take you wherever you'd like to go. The room service was delicious, and the breakfast is nice since it can be hard to find a good breakfast in Rome. There is a spa attached to the hotel so after we walked all day, we could relax in the spa pool afterwards. This is a family friendly hotel, too. There were a lot of kids around and the outdoor pool was great for them. The beds are king-sized and memory foam. Overall it was a great place to call home for a week and I'd love to stay there again. Also worth mentioning--several amazing restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Neighborhood is so safe and gorgeous with flowering trees all along the streets. It was everything you could want in an Italian hotel.
"Wonderful first experience of Italy"
For us the hotel was in an ideal location, right on the edge of the park. A huge park which is always buzzing from runners to people who have hired bikes to get a better feel for the park, the hotel is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city but only 20-30min walk from one of the main attractions (Piazza di Popolo) and the main shopping street (Via Del Corso), it was more like 30 mins for me as I have a stick to walk with at the moment but normally 20mins would be achievable from the hotel. We did get Taxi's quite a bit due to my walking but the first Metro station is at the Piazza Di Popolo for connections around the city. The hotel was very grand, perfectly clean and the staff were wonderful. Our room was always made beautifully ready for us at the end of the day. The Spa was like something I have never experienced (I have visited a few spa's across the UK) and this was outstanding! I wish we had a longer visit just to enjoy the spa as we only spent around 3 hours of our visit there. The breakfast had a very good choice from fresh bread, croissants, cooked egg / bacon etc. We only ate one meal at the hotel due to the excursions we had planned. We ordered room service after a very long busy day, only had to wait around 20-25mins and we both had a burger with fries and we both agreed it was the best burger we had ever had (and we are both meat lovers). Anyone who wants to experience the finer side of a hotel during their stay I would strongly recommend, we have already discussed returning to the same hotel so I can experience everything without the pain and discomfort of this trip due to a (hopefully temporary) medical problem. We were there for the celebration of my 30th birthday and cannot thank the hotel and staff enough for making it such an enjoyable experience.
"5* Hotel in quiet area of Rome"
We picked this hotel as we didn't want to stay in Rome city and it was a great choice, after a busy day sightseeing it was lovely to come back to the sanctuary of our palatial room, amazing spa and outdoor pool, view from the balcony of the park after being in the city is beautiful. Breakfast had a great choice of continental or cooked with some lovely pastries. The spa was lovely and not too busy, a large hydrotherapy area and fair sized pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant so can't comment.. It's about a €12 trip into city and taxi rank outside. Perfect if you need to get away from hustle bustle and noise of traffic in Rome city.
"Lux and lovely"
This place was by far the nicest place we stayed on our whole tour of Italy. We were here for one night before flying back home. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the spa and other amenities. I would compare the service and swank level to that of the St. Regis in the states. There are chandeliers everywhere and all the staff is dressed in full suits or uniforms. The bed is super comfy. The breakfast that is included with the room is really nice. It appeared that most people staying here were there for business not vacation. It is in an interesting neighborhood in Rome that seems to be closer to where people live in nice apartments as opposed to in the center of the tourist traps. We visited a good local restaurant for dinner our last night in Rome as suggested by the front desk. Parking is about $38 per night. We had to leave for the airport at the same time as rush hour traffic so it took us almost an hour to get there. If you want a lovely stay in Rome this is a great spot. It isn't super great for getting to the airport from here but is probably in a great location for visiting the sights in Rome.
"Honeymoon visit in Rome"
The property was beautiful, located across the street from Borghese park. Our room had a balcony overlooking quaint buildings; one of which must have been an event venue because we heard loud music in the evenings on more than one occasion. The breakfast was delicious and the live piano music in the bar was lovely. The only negative thing we have to say about this property is the front desk and spa staff were not friendly. We stayed in the top 3 Italy properties and this location had the most unfriendly staff compared to the others. We checked in and no info. was given to us about our stay (breakfast location, spa info., etc.). When we asked questions to the front desk staff they were rude. This was the most unfriendly staff of our entire European vacation. But the property itself was beautiful and the food was good, room was clean and conveniently located to downtown Rome.
