"Eh I've stayed in better hotels"
Our room was a standard double bed room. There is no room service. However it was conveniently close to quite a bit of shopping and to pier one. The room was clean and minimal. It was close to the children's museum and to several art museums. Recommend it but not for families.
"Nice rooms, nice view on the park side (back of hotel)"
We stayed just one night on a Saturday and got a good price, so I was very happy with the room. It is large, and we had a sitting area and a large floor to ceiling window with a view of the park and Metreon. You could also see the bay from the 18th floor. The bathroom, and especially the shower was really nice as was the bed. Checkout time of noon was also nice, considering many hotels are 11:00 am. Parking is valet and expensive (I think $60 plus tax), but it is 24 hours, so even after checking out at noon, they kept our luggage and we got to walk around for a couple of hours without having to find more parking, a definite plus! There is a $34 facility fee, and it does not cover wi-fi, so that is a con, especially if you do not use the pool, workout room, etc. Also, there is no mini fridge, which seems to be very standard at hotels of this price tier. There is room for one in the cabinetry, but one is not present. We also had a hard time finding a convenient outlet for our phone charger. We ended up with it on the floor, which is not very convenient. Either on the desk or on the nightstands would have been much better Also they do put a pending charge of $150 on your credit card for incidentals, but they do take it off when you checkout and just charge you the $34 plus the parking fee. I really liked the location and the service of the front desk, housekeeping and the valet drivers out front. I would stay again.
Just off market street with easy access to busses, trams, Bart etc and easy walking to union square, ferry building and other central attractions. Feel extremely safe in hotel as can't get to floor without key card. Hotel room big and clean with fantastic views from floor to ceiling window. Cleaner does amazing job. Wifi included in fee paid. Only negative is drinks in bar are crazy expensive!
"A gracious lodging in downtown San Francisco."
A small group spent the night at the Park Central after a Giants game. Within walking distance of AT&T field, the hotel has anot attractive bar and restaurant. There are lots of attractions in close proximity. The Park Central is a good choice for overnight or a longer stay. Clean, bright rooms, WiFi, and other amenities. I will stay here again.
"All about Monty"
Monty checked me in with a smile. I am a loyal Marriott member have a few starwood points but no real status. My company booked this hotel. Monty gave me a great room with a nice view. I was disappointed that they didnt have room service for breakfast but there was a starbucks across the street so wasnt to bad. The room was musty but had great space. Musty rooms happen no matter where you are I never understood why hotels have carpet in the rooms. I decided to by a room freshener to travel with. Anyway Monty was great! Patient, accommodating, and just great overall spirit!
