"Great location, great service and great room"
Stayed for one night on the start of a business trip and found this place great. The room was on the corner with a great view, was a good size and was nice and quiet. The hotel itself is in a great location for shopping with a nice few restaurants around and not far from the caltrain station. Will stay again!
"Great location and great room...but there were a few hurdles"
Stayed here for 4 nights to attend a conference. I arrived early and my room wasn't ready. The front desk told me it would be about an hour and they would call me when the room was ready. No problem...I went to the hotel restaurant for lunch. An hour and a half later, no call. So I waited in line again. The room was ready. It would have been nice for them to let me know. I had been traveling for over 8 hours and was a bit tired. After I got past that hurdle, the next one was the daily $25 fee and you cannot opt out of it. This hotel is pretty expensive. I do think that fee is just another way to raise the rate. But...the room was very nice. It is a clean hotel. The bed was comfortable. It is in a great location (at least for business).
It is painful to write this. My wife and I have been going to this hotel for 18 years, 4 changes, from ANA to Argent, Westin and now Park Central. We have stayed 4 times this year and each time was a disaster. This is no longer a hotel it is a motel at best. Limited room service and menus, room service trays left outside the room all day. Reservations incorrect, mini bars disheveled and not stocked, (we were later informed mini bars were being discontinued because they were "more trouble then they were worth" front desk quote) phoned to pre check in at the front desk to make sure reservations were correct and was told on arrival at 6 pm my suite was occupied by a preferred guest and would not be ready for two hours. Fortunately we were going to the Giants game and not the theater as that would have been a disaster. No offered help with luggage or taxi assistance (where's Paul') and not a town car to be seen. The City is busy now and my guess is that the new ownership is riding the wave without concern for the guests. That sort of practice has long term consequence. We have canceled the suite for our next trip to San Francisco and will never return. There are many other real hotels in San Francisco to stay.
"Excellent hotel and great value "
This hotel was very clean and in a nice location . Also great value for the money . I would definitely stay here again when In San Francisco . However there is no room service . Hotel staff also very helpful and friendly . Service with a smile !!!!
"Great SF hotel"
A wonderful, centrally located hotel, close to city centre and the ballpark. I want to specifically thank Geraldine and Carmen for making sure that we got the best possible suite available. While I was expecting a better room as an SPG platinum member, the suite they gave us was incredible.
