The hotel was clean, nicely appointed but the room smelled musty and the front lobby also had an odd odor. Late in the evening there appeared to be "women of the night" who were very, very scantily dressed and walking alone in the lounge smiling at men. My wife saw one of these women brushing her teeth in the lobby bathroom. This made me uncomfortable about the security of the hotel. Otherwise, very responsive staff and valets. Great location if at the Moscone for convention.
"Very nice hotel"
Perfect location right in the middle of town. Rooms and staff were really nice. Would stay there again, and would recommend to others. Recommend to my parents and they are staying there when they fly out West.
"Good hotel - poor attitude towards guests!"
We stayed for three nights towards the end of a trip to America. The hotel is in a great location, close to Union Sq and Bart stations. The rooms were large and clean and they have great views from the floor to ceiling windows. I know that resort fees seem to be an accepted evil in San Fransisco now, however due to lengthy delays at the airport my wife and I didn't arrive until after 1am in the morning. We technically stayed 3 nights, but due to the late arrival the first of them we didn't even open our suitcases, let alone use the hire bikes, wifi or the Wednesday morning guided run!! When I spoke to the desk I asked them to only charge two nights of resort fees which seemed fair but they completely refused to even discuss it or explain why they think three nights fees are justifiable under these circumstances. I have since emailed them my thoughts but didn't get a reply which gives you an idea as to how much they value their customers.
"Nice Location, a bit tired"
This hotel is great. Nice and central, within easy reach of everywhere. Shops, Piers, attractions, it's all just a short walk away. The staff were great, but the rooms were a little tired and in need of updating. Top Tip! The hotel offers free cycle hire, and this is great way to get around the city. Also, a taxi to the airport is $50, but the hotel limo is the same price...take the limo.
"Great location and good service"
We recently stayed at the Park Central while celebrating our son's graduation from his master's program. When I booked our reservation, I mentioned it to the reservation person and when we checked in they congratulated us and gave us a room upgrade to celebrate. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in an excellent spot to enjoy many of the city's attractions. It's almost directly across the street from the new SFMOMA. This is the second time we stayed here and I highly recommend it.
