Stay did not start off great, despite being on a Diamond stay we were given a room on the 2nd floor facing street and taxis. Once we brought this up to the staff, we were upgraded to a mountain view room and it was all fixed :) Rooms and interior are great, but we did not try the casino as not our sort of thing. Breakfast was good quality and we ate lunch there one time as well. Also had a chance to visit the spa and gym, both very nice quality and fun to visit. Location is not far from restaurants and bars in the city, but enough that you are not kept up all night with noise :)
"Very good but definitely not a 5 star "
We have stayed there for the last 5 or 6 times my girlfriend who is Argentine and i visit Mendoza. It is located across the street from the Plaza Independencia and not far from shopping and some really good restaurants. It has a casino for those who like to gamble and WiFi although spotty is now free, there is a business center downstairs free of charge to use if necessary. Room service is so on point and they are pretty quick to deliver, everything on the menu is worth ordering. Ice also has to be brought by room service which is fine. Most importantly the hotel feels super safe, there is always a guard on duty outside waiting no matter what time you head back in, everyone at the front desk seems to speak good English for those of us whose Spanish isn't that great. For the price you're paying to stay in Mendoza I expect a bit more out of the hyatt but ultimately the location food and security do matter. In all the times I've stayed here I only had one issue which involved some flowers a few years ago that were put in my room that I was charged for while checking out that I didn't order. The price of the flowers wasn't the issue it was the point of trying to stick me with something i didn't even realize was there, while disputing the charge we were told by the concierge that if we didn't pay she would have to.. awkward.. I sent a email to the hotel after getting home expressing my displeasure and did get a response back but i dont remember anything really being done about it. In fairness I've been back since and that appears to be a one time hiccup in customer service for a return guest who usually stays 10 days at a time. There are events that seem to happen in the lobby on weekend nights so be forewarned. In closing it's a very good hotel but check your bill closely when checking out.
"Best place in Mendoza City"
Ive been coming to this hotel at least annually for the last 7 years and its never disappointed me. Good value, fantastic location, several dining options all make it (for me at least) the only place in Mendoza I'd ever stay
"Perfect place to stay in Mendoza City"
Our large spacious room had a wonderful view of the Andes Mountains. Bath and shower areas were clean and comfortable. Bed and linens of excellent quality. Location couldn't be better - within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants.
"Look no further than the Park Hyatt"
The Hyatt is in a fantastic location right in the centre of Mendoza on Plaza Independencia. The building looks great and the staff were fantastic and well trained. This was our honeymoon trip and we stayed in 5 hotels in Argentina. On all the booking forms I specified that this was our honeymoon. All the other "boutique" hotels never mentioned this even though it must have been on the computer reservation in front them. The Hyatt front desk manager congratulated us immediately and gave us a room upgrade and there was a bottle of Champagne waiting for us in our room. Just for this they have won a customer for life. The room was enormous and even if the decor was quite bland everything worked as it should. The bathroom was huge and spotless and had a wetroom rainshower. Housekeeping was impeccable for room cleaning and turndown with chocolate at night. The Vines bar had good cocktails and knowledgeable staff who were able to recommend good bars. We ate Sunday lunch in the Grill Q restaurant and it was maybe the best meat we had in Argentina and good value too. To be honest we ate almost all our meals in the Hotel as the food was really good in all the restaurants and the breakfast was fantastic. We work in the hospitality business and for us it was ironic that it was in the big chain hotel we received the most personalised and intimate service. If you are in Mendoza look no further than the Hyatt for service, food and location. We loved it.
