"Not the Best"
We were disappointed with this particular Park Hyatt. The common areas are nice enough but the rooms are in need of restoration. The first two rooms we were shown smelled. And you could also smell the room spray that housekeeping had used to cover it up. Our third try was a decent room with relatively no odor. The furniture was very average but the bathroom was very nice with a roomy closet. I should also add that we were met by a bug in the bathtub who apparently had used half the conditioner because the bottle was half-empty. That aside, the housekeeping in our room was top notch. Breakfast was included in our rate and was very good. The pool area was nice considering it is in an urban area. Mendoza itself is not exactly an exciting city, its the wineries that keep Mendoza on the tourist map. If you must stay in the city, perhaps this is the best choice, but some of the wineries (the great majority of which are not in the city) have beautiful accommodations. We paid less than $300 per night at the Hyatt, which is fairly decent but again, they need to refurbish the hotel, starting with the guest rooms.
"Popular with American climbers"
After a long climbing trip in Argentina we decided to stay here. It became clear quite fast that we weren't the only climbers with this idea! Fairly typical Hyatt...nice rooms...spacious. Expensive food and drinks. Nice staff. Extremely nice, actually. Nice hang by the pool, some shade available. Located close to many great restaurants and some shopping. The park across the street is very nice.
"Nice place to stay. "
Large clean rooms and helpful staff. It really seemed like an American hotel, which was good and bad. The casino was fun! Definitely a different experience than Las Vegas (and the backjack rules were different). The gym and spa were top notch. No coffee maker in the room, but breakfast was included and the buffet was extensive and fresh. We found the staff at the wine bar mixed- one server was phenomenal and another was inattentive and rude.
A friend and I had spent the previous 2 nights in Mendoza at an airbnb. The air conditioner could not keep up with the heat so we gave up and moved to the Park Hyatt. What a relief! Wonderful, plush room. Huge bathroom with powerful shower. Breakfast was tasty with a large selection of food. The best part of our stay was a wine tasting in the hotel bar by Sommelier Alex from Seattle, WA. He obviously knows his wines and picked out a really nice selection of wines (one rose and the rest reds) based on our preferences. Highly recommend staying here and booking a wine tasting.
"Great hotel at Mendoza City"
I had a wonderful time at this hotel, very comfortable room (standard) with view to the swimming pool. Good restaurants with wide choice or regional and international food. Of course: Great Wine! The best location in town, lovely recicled keeping the antique façade with a nice "terraza" overlooking to the park, ideal for tea time or a cocktail
