"Great hotel, great location, but pricey"
This my favorite hotel in Sydney. It's located in the historical Rocks area and has wonderful views of the Bridge and the Opera House, and is close to all manner of transportation. I wish I could afford to stay here every time I visit Sydney!
We spent one night here with our 3 children whilst we completed the bridge climb. Having just returned from travelling as a family O/S my children were stunned with the sheer quality of the hotel.....they knew they were somewhere nice. The service was exemplary, the rooms stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and it was difficult to wake the children as they so enjoyed the complete quiet and darkness of the room. Thank you for making the stay so memorable.
"Wonderful hotel and Amazing Location"
Can't ask for a better location. Stayed here for two nights around thanksgiving 2016. We were upgraded to a harbor suite. Room was beautifully laid out. Was great to have a dinning table and a balcony in the room. The Balcony opened up overlooking at the bay directly in front and an on the side one could see the magnificent Sydney Opera. The concierge at the hotel were amazing. Not only were they knowledgeable, but you could tell that they would customize their recommendation based on the guests. We had breakfast both days at hotel. The buffet spread wasn't as big as some of the other hotels I have been to but everything was good. Glad we stayed at PH Sydeny.
"R&R in Sydney"
We have stayed here a few times, but this is the first time since their refurbishment. The changes are a big improvement on an already lovely hotel. The floor to ceiling windows and the open plan design of the rooms are lovely. The rooftop pool is very nice but has relatively limited space. But this is after all a city hotel, and the fierceness of the Australian sun means you don't want to sit around a pool much. Recommended. The best 5 star hotel in Sydney
"What a disappoint!"
Several issues. We stayed here for two nights. 1. Upon our arrival, reception advised us they had no record of our booking (even though this was prepaid directly six months in advance). 2. When we got to our room, we had someone else's luggage there waiting for us. When we went to concierge to ask for our luggage it was never taken out of the car from the valet. 3. We had guests come to visit and were told they must've had the wrong hotel as there was no booking under our names. Funny enough this happened 5 mins after we got into our room. Considering the issues we had 5 mins prior you would've thought they could have remembered our names. 4. Room swipe key was replaced 4 times in two nights. How annoying. Rooms are average. Service is below average. I'd rather stay at the Intercontinental or Four Seasons and use the money I saved for dinner at Quay Restaurant.
