We stayed in February as it was close to the arena, within walking distance in fact. We booked with booking.com who advertised the hotel with on site parking when in fact you have to guess where to park, there is a multi story car park opposite which has nothing to do with the hotel but they do give you a slight discount if you give them your ticket. This should be made clearer. However the room was nice and the bed was comfy and I enjoyed the fact that you get free access to the gym and the pool which was very nice.
Arrived and was welcomed warmly by the reception staff. Check in was quick and we were able to go straight to our room although we were a little early (1.30ish). Rooms are perfectly adequate with tea/coffee making facilities. Bed was comfy, bathroom was fine - shower pressure was a little weak. No magnifying mirror, ladies of my age doing their makeup will know is essential, so take your own. Hairdryer in the room. Parking is at the NCP across the road and the hotel stamp your car park ticket which gives you a 20% discount. To park the car for 24 hours was £16.00. We were going to the Arena for a concert and this hotel is perfectly located for that. Didn't have breakfast as £14 each I feel is too much for a bit of bacon !! Found a fab cafe instead...
Check was quick ,staff pleasant, had a meal fairly quick service as we were going to a concert at the arena, this hotel is in a good location for the arena bedroom was clean with comfy beds and the self service breakfast was good, will stay here again
Staying here was just great!! Very close to Manchester Victoria, we stayed on a Tuesday night. The room was spacious and comfy! The decor was modern and the light-changing bed-head made us giggle. Breakfast the next morning was really fab. A really well thought out buffet with great selection of fruit and cereals as well as the usual sausage and egg thing! The hash browns were epic! 100% deep fried, completely bad for you but bloomin' delicious. The most joyous part of this stay was going for a swim at 10am and having the entire pool to myself.... heaven!! A really nifty fitness centre and lovely pool. I was in Manchester for a University visit with my son. This really was a very happy stay. Excellent value, no complaints whatsoever.... Just fab!!
Stayed here on 18th March on my birthday for a visit to the arena to see Olly Murs. I had informed them it was my birthday, on check in we got a free room upgrade and vouchers for free drinks at the bar. We had 629 a twin room on the 6th floor, clean and well presented with comfy beds, but close to the lift so reasonably quiet. We ate in the hotel bar and had pizza and fish finger sandwich, it was adequate for bar food. Our walk to the arena was about 3 minutes which was great due to it being a wet night. We ate out for breakfast & didn't use the gym. Staff were all friendly and efficient, rooms are adequate and the location is perfect for the arena.
