"Quiet area overlooking the park."
Stayed there for the weekend 3 nights. Its Such a quiet area and good for relaxation overlooking the park. . When we arrived the recepccionist was very helpful and friendly aked us a lot of questions and give us lots of hints of where to go and visit. Its a good decoration at the entry of the hotel.. Amazing breakfast but pricey. ( 19€'' ) Vending machines helpful during the night The stairs that gave access to the upper floors need a refurbishment and the decor not what I expected from a double tree hotel... The online pics don't match the reality of the rooms it's was a let down.. the online pictures are from the suites only and not from an normal room in the upper floors, the windows were dirty and looked like no one had been cleaned the borders of it in a long time ... the beds were outdated and it looked like a 2 star hotel, and found some trash under the bed when looking for my shoes..in the morning. . Disappointing because i stayed in better rooms wich were 2*, not 3,5* and accually looked better.. the bathroom was clean and updated but I disliked the glass door from the toilet and the mirror at the front... it reflected someone at the bed and could accually see you pooing wilst you're in the toilet. ..:-/ In general it was a good stay .. relaxing and enjoyable overlooking the park with good connections while visiting the 3 days in Amsterdam. :-)
Pictures on the hotel do not look like the actual hotel. , We previously started at The Victoria Park Plaza and it was amazing, hard to believe this hotel is the same company, No where as good as The Victoria. Very smelly, Carpets dirty in the rooms and corridors and very cramped in the rooms. Bathroom nice but very cramped and small. Very little lighting in rooms. Loud room if near stairs or lifts. Overpiced & Basic.
"Good value for money"
Very convenient location, if tramp is used as the mode of transport. Close to all major tourist attractions, easily accessible through tramp. spacious rooms, cleanliness, cooperative and friendly staff.
"Convenient location near bus station"
The hotel staff were very helpful. However, there was generally a queue at the reception. You need to go down a flight of steps to get to the lift to access your room, so if you have heavy luggage, you'll need help. Room and bathroom are small but clean. Location is very convenient. About 2 mins walk to the bus stop, and you can take the no. 2 bus to the museums, flower market, royal palace, central station etc. Also, a nice stretch of restaurants about 3 mins walk away. Local supermarket about 5 mins walk.
"Great place to stay for a couple!"
Lovely hotel, staff are friendly. We only stayed for 2 nights but was very happy with our room & any questions we had were answered by the staff. Only downside is there is nothing close by, you have to get a tram into places to find a shop, the hotel would benefit from having a little shop to buy drinks/snacks for the room. But all in all, had a lovely time visiting the beautiful Amsterdam with my partner. Would highly recommend.
