"Beer and Bratwurst in Berlin"
Enjoyed our stay here clean quiet and in walking distance of all we wanted to see staff well informed and helpful food was plentiful and tasty would definitely stop here again. Berlin itself, what an interesting city, the Christmas markets in and around Alexander Platz are the best I have visited. The people where for the most part friendly and very helpful. We both enjoyed our trip immensely
"Short stay but a memorable experience"
Cosy atmosphere would summarize the stay. Good food, clean rooms, devotion and professionalism at all places and most important very kind people. Charming hotel that has a great renovated look. The place to stay and to recommend.
"Fit for purpose with no complaints!"
This hotel was perfect for me and my girlfriend on our first visit to Berlin. It's location is excellent, just a short walk (10-15 minutes) to Museum Island and Alexanderplatz with its Christmas markets. If walking isn't your thing, however, it's just over the road from the Markesches Museum train station which is a mere two stops from Alexanderplatz. We found getting around the city so easy, having visited many Christmas markets, the tv tower, the Brandenburg Gate, the Sony Centre at Potsdamer Platz, the palace, the cathedral, the museums, the wall, Checkpoint Charlie and the memorial all with absolute ease. The hotel being so close to the tube station meant we didn't mind if one of us wanted to go back and change into comfier footwear or to grab an extra layer to wrap up warm in. I cannot comment on the food or spa at the hotel as we didn't use any of these facilities. The room and hotel in general however were very clean. We had a superior room which had a massive bathroom and a very comfy bed. We liked to eat out around the city but if we wanted a quick bite to eat in the morning we'd head out of the hotel and walk left for 100m to a very nice and inexpensive bakery. Recommendations for your stay: Dine at the top of the TV Tower. Whilst expensive (though not as expensive if comparing with somewhere like the Shard in London) the food was very nice and the views are amazing. Go to the very top floor of KaDeWe and enjoy massive slices of delicious cake for less than €5. Walk to Reinhard's Restaurant just down the river from the hotel for a very relaxed breakfast. Buy a kebab from the Alexanderplatz Station if you're into that sort of thing. They're amazing! Go to the cathedral and climb to the very top for panoramic views of the city. Don't be afraid to visit places again when it's dark. The city looks so much different come nightfall.
This hotel is very smart and clean. The breakfast is to die for with lots of different options. Our room was very clean and stylish, the bathroom was modern and the bed was very comfortable. The staff here were very helpful and friendly and spoke great English. The hotel is in a perfect location, down a relatively quiet street, but just a few paces away from the nearest U-Bahn station which is super easy to use in order to explore the centre of Berlin. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
"very average hotel for its price"
Positives - nice location - close to city center - all facilities for business trip Negatives - very slow in-room WiFi - very small and poor equipped gym - in-room iron is impossible to use for skirts - quite poor breakfast experience
