"An awesome place to stay"
A beautiful hotel close to Darling harbor. We really enjoyed our stay here. You have plenty of restaurant options close and the bus stop and the train station is close by. You just have to cross the street and walk up and down a few steps or take the elevator to get to the buzzling harbor side.
"Post cruise stay"
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for the attractions of Darling Harbour which include the Endeavour replica etc. Plus you are so close to the city centre shopping. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is extensive and of great quality. The room was fine with an enormous double bed. Restaurants of China Town are an easy walk away.
Balancing between location and quality, my wife and I recently stayed at Parkroyal Darling Harbour, in Sydney for my 50th birthday. We booked for four nights paying $500/day for a suit. Location was great. All walking distance to Chinatown; George and Pitt St main high-end shopping areas including the QVB; across the (walk) bridge from Darling Harbour; The Rocks and the iconic Opera House etc. Good selection of breakfast and if you are staying in a suit and have access to the Club Room, it's nice to get away from the morning rush. The service was what you would expect so can't complain. What was really disappointing was the room. For $500 a night, I expected a lot more. Been travelling and stayed in hotels all my life, so I am a realist. But even with that, I was left disappointed with the room. We stayed in a suit that was dark, facing other office buildings. Had a small water view from the side. After a a wee chat with the manager, he promptly changed our room. We appreciated the gesture but the new room wasn't any better. So, if you are looking for high-end accommodation at $500/night, I would recommend another hotel. But, for a 4 star hotel, with decent service, good location, wifi etc, I would recommend this hotel, especially if you are travelling on business. TIP: Ask for a room facing the water and not the city. Also make sure your room is not the same level as the motorway overpass!
The hotel my parter and I always stay at! Lovely staff, beautiful facilities and excellent service! I read reviews before staying here and people were concerned about the road noise. I stayed on the third floor and heard the odd motor bike here and there, but nothing that would wake you up at night. I would return in a heartbeat!
Great service. Very friendly staff. Made us feel very welcome and helped us celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Was a very enjoyable stay. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Great variety and great quality.
