Located on the border of Siem Reap, Phum Baitang Resort is only 10 minutes away from Angkor Wat.
Great place to relax, enjoy rural Cambodia life in style with beautifully designed rooms/villa. Good responsive service, great food and quick help in organizing temple visits. Family had a great time! Bit pricey but we felt it was worth it.
"Beautiful Hotel w Nice Landscaping "
I was there because they were the winner for Asia Hotel Design Award this year. Was there w two girlfriends but they don't seem to be impressed with the hotel. I personally like it. Especially the landscaping and materials used....tastefully done. Lighting very well placed , made this place very pretty and romantic at night. Very difference from other resorts in Bali or Phuket. Food in main restaurants is good but not the poolside ... Friendly GM and staffs... I think the spa had some award too but was not impressed with deco and the masseur that massage for me was average...
We had an amazing stay at Phum Baitang. Resort was like paradise, the Villas, food, spa, and services were great. Convenient transportation and excursions offered right from the resort. I would definitely come back no doubt. We had a very late flight and they even extended the checkout complimentary (It is still rainy season) which gave us a whole day more on our vacation, Thanks you!!!
We were greeted at the SR airport by a Land Rover with cold towels and bottled water, and it just continued to get better. This is a relatively new property, removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you are into being in the middle of the action, this is not the place for you. Each private bungalow (we opted for one without the plunge pool, the hotel has an enormous pool) is around 75-80sqm. And extremely comfortable. Great linens, beds, towels, amenities, etc. The bungalows are spread out between rice patties, so you feel like you are truly in the middle of a working farm. So peaceful first thing in the morning and to come home to after a day of visiting the temples. Kudos to Patti, the Food and Beverage Manager, what a valuable employee she is! She took the time to explain several of the local dishes, recomended a perfect wine, and generally saw to us for our first night dinner in the main "more formal" restaurant. That said, we did have dinner another night in the makeshift restaurant where they serve breakfast. Don't bother. Really not much on offer, and overpriced, in my opinion. The food was fine, but there are lots of good options in town, and a tuk-tuk can take you, wait for you, and bring you back to the hotel for US$10. All in all, a nearly flawless experience. Kudos to the Zannier group, this is a winner!
"Stunning, great surprise, more than expected - 10 out of 10"
Traveled in Oct 16 as a couple Great resort, good atmosphere, amazing food… The rooms are spacious with a good size luxury toilet. The decoration is warm and with taste. The resort itself is big with rice paddles everywhere, nice and relaxing. You have a big pool to share if you decided to go for villa with no private pool. They have complementary bikes to ride around the resort –which was nice. The buffet in the morning is about quality with the best coffee. You still have a menu for breakfast to choose from aside of the buffet. The food at the restaurant is to first world country standards. The farm house for cocktails is a very nice touch, is 100 years old and the cocktails are, again, up to standards of Melbourne. The staff is attentive and always helpful. The SPA was a great retreat for an hour. You are a 10min tuck tuck ride away from town, very convenient. Our stay was very relaxing with a touch of luxury. We regret to have only stayed 3 nights -we could have done easily a week!- and definitely we will be back. Mayte & Tristan
