"The Greggs "
Superb. Staff were always friendly, and helpful, the rooms spotless albeit a bit warm for English tastes, and that was easily adjusted remotely by a receptionist. Breakfasts, wow, delicious! After a days tramping relax and enjoy the views from the roof terrace or sink into a comfy settee in the lobby. A terrific hotel within easy walking distance of all major tourist attractions.
"Real class in a great location"
This is a classy hotel at a reasonable price. Good areas downstairs to sit in, nice (though hotel pricey) bar, didn’t try the restaurant. Splendid position on the Arno very near the Uffizi and at the bottom edge of all the sights (20 minutes’ walk to the station'). And just across the Arno is the San Niccolo district which is lovely. Oh and excellent breakfasts. Staff really helpful and courteous (as was our experience generally in Florence). Can’t think why you’d stay anywhere else.
"Would definitley stay here again!"
Had a fabulous experience at Palaza Lucchesi! Service was impeccable! Rooms were beautiful and clean and location was perfect. I want to thank Michele, Romano, Rico, Enrico and all the employees for making my stay wonderful and easy. I will truly miss you all but also look forwad to my next stay with you! I will recommend you to all! Tanti saluti a tutti, Loredana D'Eramo
"This is by far the best hotel stay during our travels through Italy"
I have no idea exactly as to where to begin really in this review. First, this is definitely not a boutique hotel, this is a full service hotel comparable to any five star hotel in the U.S. From the staff at the front desk, to the bell-boy, waiters, bartenders...they all made our stay the most wonderful experience. We were surprised to see that not only were we given a regular room which included a seating area and dedicated flat screen TV in the sitting area when you entered, but the sheer size of the room was not your typical EU hotel room. Everything was spotless, and the entire room was pristine. The bathroom was modern, renovated and extremely clean with all of the amenities you would expect. They have a beautiful bar in the lobby that gets plenty of volume during the evening from guests, and visitors alike. What makes this stay even more memorable is the fact that the staff went above the call of duty on the morning of our departure. We had asked for a taxi in order to get to the train station and off to Rome. Upon exiting the taxi at the train station my wife and I quickly noticed that I had forgotten a pair of Italian hand made shoes on the back seat. I tried to talk to some of the taxi drivers, but quickly realized that the hotel is serviced by three different companies. I pretty much almost gave up, but I decided to call the hotel for help. Within minutes of contacting them, they located the company and the driver and he returned to the train station with the bag. It felt like hours, but this was accomplished in mere minutes. I have nothing but gratitude to the entire staff, specifically the young lady sitting at the concierge desk, as well as the bellhop that placed us in our taxi when we departed to the train station (he identified taxi company and driver). Thank you for a wonderful stay, and for your wonderful staff!!!!
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in October. It is really beautiful and in a great location over looking the river and close to the centre of Florence. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so I cannot advise. Our room was decorated beautifully, however, there seems to be little soundproofing between the bedrooms (of maybe it was just ours'). This did not affect our stay which was truly wonderful. Roof terrace with pool is a wonderful place to have an evening drink and look over the beautiful city of Florence. You can see the Duomo nearby and the sound of church bells ringing in the evening is so lovely.
