"Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak is a winner"
This is a very beautiful property. The flowers, fountains, and grounds are extraordinary. The suites are roomy and very functional. If you have children, there are many things for them to do. The staff wants to be sure that you are well taken care of, and even will send a text to ask if you need anything. Everyone on staff was very friendly and concerned about their guests comfort. I enjoyed my stay.
"Not what I expected"
I stayed here with my family 6years ago. We stayed in the Casita and really enjoyed it. My most recent stay was terrible. The room smelled like chemicals and smoke. I even switched room multiple times. However , the smell was in all the rooms. I believe it's the carpet and cleaning chemicals. Also the carpet in the room was starting to fall apart. This hotel is not a representation of the Hilton product. It needs a complete overall.
"Great family get away!"
I thought the stay was so fun! We had a great time on the pool and slide! Great waterfall. Great service. Rooms where clean. They have a area for golf fun near the pool. They offer food near the pool area.
"Pointe resort always a pleasure.."
The water park is wonderful and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is really good with lots of unique items. We have stayed at this resort many times and always enjoy our stay. Very close to Squaw peak trails for hiking and many good restaurant choices.
"Such a great family experience!"
We just ended a four night stay here and even my husband is wanting to come back again. We picked this location based on a conference in town but wanting something family friendly. This has been fabulous. The room is a suite with a fridge and a small balcony. My only compliant is that the room lacks a microwave. The room has been wonderfully quite at night too. But the selling point is the water park. On property is a 4 acre park with so much family fun. I bet the boys played 10 games of 18 hole mini golf alone. They have played tennis and basketball too. They went down the lazy river once a day and dozens of times down the slide. At one point my son had the slide to himself - including two employees who supervised- for a half an hour. There is food and adult drink in the park and the wait staff has been great. Beers are about $7 each. This is a value of $35 per person per day and 4 people are included in your $26 per day resort fee. Early January has been a great time to visit. This is the perfect time of year to hike too. We practically had the water park to ourself. I have a few small complaints: I tried to used the spa services. I called and got no answer so I left a message. Never got a call back so I called again later in the day - right at the time to special was supposed to start. They informed me that the tech had left for the day so they couldn't honor the advertised special. That was pretty annoying. Also because this is the slow time of year the room service is closed from 11 to 5. So lunch room service is not an option. This is when a microwave would have been nice. I would suggest people staying here have a vehicle. In the off season there was very limited food on site so you will need to drive for meals. Not far but a couple blocks for most places.
