"Fair weather accomodations"
True, it was 57 degrees when I got there in early December, not the ideal air temperature for a water-park hotel. The front desk was amazingly unfriendly, with two staff members trying very hard not to acknowlege my presence when finally a third staff member was willing to help check me in. Keep in mind that there will be a resort fee tacked onto whatever room rate you were quoted, so then bill goes up upon your arrival. Being off season, the only restaurant open was the BBQ place which serves a good brisket sandwich but I chose to skip any breakfast they might offer. The next day the air temp climbed to near 70 and for a cold-climate resident like me, the water was fine. The lazy river is showing some wear and tear but having it to myself was quite pleasant. The staff at the water park were helpful and friendly. But there was just something amiss about the whole place. Having returned from a business trip where two nights in a hotel cost me nearly as much as my one night stay at Pointe Hilton, the Hilton didn't stand up to the service and quality I had at the hotel I'd been staying at for work. Certainly the unfriendliness of the front desk staff didn't help my impressions of the place.
"Point Hilton Squaw Peak"
All amenities of this place were awesome. They a text system from your phone to get ahold of the staff. They are very very quick to respond whether it was a issue in the room (like more towels, another blanket, so on, so on) this place is excellent for an all type get away. at least 7 or 7 pools spread out on the 26 acres. Great for a Family Reunion or Business. Food was awesome too.
"Enjoyable week at the Squaw peak "
We booked this on a whim as we had to change our holiday due to the outbreak of Zika and I am so glad we did! We loved Phoenix! But enough about the city!! We had originally booked into a suite but took advantage of a discounted upgrade on check in and I am really pleased we did - the casita was clean spacious and in a lovely quiet location. My only criticism would be that it would be great to have a better microwave or maybe a job so you can do some actual cooking as after being in Vegas for three days prior I was looking to eat in a couple of nights rather than always going out. During the time we went it wasn't peak season so it was quiet during the weekday in the pool area however it was a tad busier in the weekends - rather noisy but people were having fun and it wasn't late at night so it wasn't too annoying. We always got a sunbed and an umbrella. Whether that's the case in peak season I am not so sure. The restaurant on site that was open offered a good close place to eat when we didn't want to venture far and the concierge was also really helpful in recommending a number of restaurants as well that were in the close vicinity or a short drive away. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this resort out of season as I absolutely loved it - however, I am not sure whether I would have enjoyed it as much in the peak season as it may be a bit too busy! Thank you to all the staff for a most enjoyable stay
"Great value for the money!"
Water park is great for kids. Very quiet. Beautiful area. Love the ambiance. Rooms are clean, hotel is beautiful, concierge is incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend for families. Great value!
Had a great time here in late November. It was warm enough to enjoy the pools. The river ranch was closed on Sunday our warmest day of our 5 day stay. Good location, close to wilderness hiking trails and good restaurants, easy access to freeways. River ranch was fun. Liked having our own pool at our building.
