"The worse ShangriLa Hotel in Malaysia"
Smelly ballroom as the old and lack of maintenance fountain. Dun stay too long in this hotel as the food serve is almost same everyday !!! The pillow and the bed is old , But the staff is friendly except some temp staff is look very inexperience...
"The best place to conduct business meeting"
One of the best place to conduct business meeting or maybe medium size functions i.e dinner, product launches etc. Easy access hotel located on the top of the hill of the heart of Putrajaya. The service is above standard and has good and hi quality meeting rooms.
Advertised as a 5star establishment, it struggles to achieve 3 stars. On entering the grounds the exterior is old and tired, desperately needing a face lift. The reception area .... a desk! Once in my room, she's an old and very tired lady, more like a flashback to 1980... My fingers are crossed for a better experience in the level 1 restaurant. I'm the only guest here, albeit a Monday night and it takes a good 10 minutes for a gin and tonic to arrive at my table. Better still 35 minutes for an Hawaiian pizza that doesn't taste like ham and pineapple, just sweet peppers and sauce. I glance down at the table place mats constructed of expensive acrylics ( plastic), such a unique touch and disregard for constraint! Unfortunately, the placemats have foods welded into them, complimented only by a lonely and insignificant carnation... There is certainly a lot of staff walking around, maybe they could be assigned to more meaningful task, maybe cleaning!!!! Won't stay a second time.
"Great Venue for Trainings"
Our company's training was help in this hotel for 3 days. It was an awesome experience. The buffet were really delicious and the rooms were big, tidy and clean. The hotel staff where always ready to assist us on our every needs.
"Another nice stay at the Shangri-la"
This hotel definitely does not have the same level of luxury compared to other Shangri-la hotels that we have stayed in. The exteriors look really tired, very evident on the balconies and the pool area. However, the great service is there, staff with a happy smile all the times. And nothing is ever too much trouble. They provide regular, free shuttle service to the nearby shopping malls. The hotel sits on top of a hill, surrounded by very nice landscaped gardens. The infinity pool looks out into the valley below, a view you won't get from staying in the Golden Triangle. Just be warned, if you want to have a relaxed meal at the Azure restaurant, ask the wait staff not to bring out your dishes too quickly. The moment we finished a plate, they were promptly removed within seconds and the next plate arrived within seconds too. It was very rushed even though there were only 2 tables eating that night. The meals were mostly delicious.
