Modern but cozy hotel in a central location. I stayed in a smaller room without a fancy view, but it still felt luxurious and was very fancy. Amenities were great...loved the automatic minibar. only complaint is that I don't like waterfall showers because they make me feel like I'm drowning.
"Family weekend trip to Chicago"
My family of 4 had a great stay at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. Before our stay my husband called to let them know we were coming to Chicago to celebrate our 8 year daughter's birthday. They kindly asked what we would be doing on our visit. He mentioned we would be going to the American Girl Doll Store as she is completely into that right now. When we arrived to our room, we not only discovered an upgraded room with a balcony and great views but some candy and a Happy Birthday sign and card for our daughter, along with American Girl coloring pages. Such a nice touch. She loved it. And the room was amazing. We had views of the river, the lake, and the park. Beds were extremely comfortable. Nice, big shower and bathtub. We appreciated the coffee machine in our room too. The location was also perfect for us. We took the South Shore Line commuter train into the Millennium Park station (If you are coming from Michigan or Indiana, it will save you a ton in parking costs) and it was a short 5-7 minute walk to the hotel. It is also a 5 minute walk to the Maggie Daley Park which had an awesome set of of play structures. My kids enjoyed that even in the middle of winter. There was also a ice skating ribbon which also would have been fun. There were also 2 amazing breakfast places very close to there. I highly recommend Eggy's Diner and Wildberry's Pancakes and Cafe. The Magnificent Mile was only about a 10 min walk away too. The indoor pool was really nice. We would love to come back and check out the outdoor pool in the warmer months. The staff was very friendly and kindly answered any questions we had. It was a wonderful stay!!
"Contemporary hotel, great staff and location"
Went to see Chicago and "Hamilton" and couldn't have selected a better location. Walking distance even with rain and great view of the lake and Millenium Park. Concierge was remarkably helpful in getting us around and hotel wa fun as well as convenient. River architectural tour especially recommended!
"A beautiful stay in Chicago"
We stay here because we like to explore the different options in the downtown Chicago. First of all, the outside of the hotel is gorgeous. The wave-like feeling is refreshing in the area. The hotel is almost new and their decoration is quite interesting. Our room had a floor with sparkling dots all over it. The walls were decorated with a big Marilyn Monroe's paint. The decoration is very modern and the pieces in the room made us feel like if we were in an art exhibition. The room service was great. Try the breakfast if you are not in the mood of going out. It's delicious!
"Most comfortable and cleanest hotel I've been in"
Great staff, amazing comfortable lobby. Very modern and sleek. From outside to inside, from lobby to room, great experience. Hotel room was great. Bathroom very modern. No bath. Loved the location. 1 block from millennium park. The hallways, walking towards room, everything is unique and great about the experience of the hotel. I would definitely encourage others to come and stay at the Radison.
