"Lobby Bar is quite good"
I wasn't staying at the hotel, but a friend suggested we meet in the Radisson Blu lobby bar for a drink. It's quite the place. Good drinks list, prices not too outrageous, very upscale and modern atmosphere.
A bit of art over function in an otherwise great hotel. The shower had a glass partition that only extended halfway across the tub so the marble floor got quite wet from the water that wasn't contained by the non-existent partition. Quite a mess to clean up for the guest or maid. Otherwise a fine hotel. Decorated for Christmas in a modern motif. Restaurant served excellent food and conveniently located downtown.
A very nice hotel and for many years one of the best ones in Bucharest. The rooms are spacious, the service is very good and the breakfast is overwhelming. The noise level in the lobby bar can be somewhat high at times. It seems to be a place where deals and partys are made. The taxi system outside the front doors does not work. The driveway is full of luxury cars with dark windows (reserved for the big guys) and the rest of us who uses normal taxis have to wait and squeeze between in the small remaining place. And often wait.
"always some noise during the week end"
nice hotel, nice location but noisy in the week end When i complain about that the desk girl told me " of coures this is noisy there are party every week end what did you expect..." well i was expecting something esle indeed ;-)
Have used this hotel many times for business trips. Always positive experience. Well designed and well maintained throughout. Good central location for business and evenings. Leisure facilities are also excellent and would be great in the summer. Highly recommended.
