Well what more can you ask from Radisson Blu' Excellent Staff, clean room, best Breakfast in the city. Great hotel for business or holiday! Location is perfect for sight seeing or just walking around downtown. Warsaw is an interesting city and its nice to come back to a Super hotel!
Arriving on a Sunday afternoon, with very few guest around, I was very much disappointed with the reception I got when checking in. No salutation, no smile or even warm gesture. Rude!! Is it me' My language or ethnicity' Cant be in this day of age. This gentlemen gave me no information on the hotel, facilities or my free breakfast. I was surprised to notice that my room door did not close and lock completely. Mentioned this to the front desk on my first day and stayed for 3. No action was done. Pool in the hotel must be owned or run by a local fitness club. Each time I wanted to swim there was either a new born swim class or spin class in the water which was quite noisy. Needless to say, I did not appreciate each of the scenarios. This is a 4 or 5 star hotel'' Maybe 3 at best. Breakfast had the same food each time I attended. No variety' And why is the a chef who only cooks scrambled eggs' Should he not be making guests their desired choices. Maybe an omelette perhaps, or sunny side up' In either case this was wasted manpower. Scrambled eggs can be made in bulk. I really have nothing to say nice about my stay, only avoid this place. Over priced and not worth your time.
"Good value hotel"
This hotel is good value and the staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to people travelling to Warsaw on business. The hotel is a short walk to the main business district and centrally located attractions.
"Stay in warsaw"
I ordered a car from the hotel to collect us from Chopin airport. Arrived and there he was taking our bags and to the car. Arriving at the hotel check in was easy and the room was clean and very nice. The bed was firm and good nights sleep were had on that. Staff very helpful and always pleasant. Although not eggy in the centre it was within walking distance of most of the attractions around the centre. Will return there if in Warsaw again in the future.
"Who graded this hotel 5 star' Disappointed Visitor"
Firstly, you will see from my profile I visit various hotels quite regularly so I have a broad experience and know what to expect. We booked this hotel as a treat for my birthday during our 5 day/4 night visit to Warsaw. We were disappointed when we arrived at our room to find a very basic hotel room. There was a chip out of one of the doors near the mini bar (Room 307) While there was tea/coffee making facilities in the room (I was surprised by this for 5 star) there were no biscuits. Our bathroom had one basic, as in not fluffy or new, bath towel each and one hand towel between us. We were two ladies and are not related! There were no robes or slippers in the room. There was mineral water, one still, one fizzy, a minibar (no interest to us and more expensive than the expensive bar) a safe, we used this and appreciated it. The hairdryer in the bathroom is a waste of time and resembles one from the 80's. The real shock came when we went down for breakfast. I am not actually sure we got a "Good Morning" on day 1 but we were asked for our room number and surname. Then we were beckoned in to a buffet where you are given no direction and have to walk around and find your own table. Breakfast was busy enough each morning and it meant walking around with plates of food and drinks and having to queue up behind other people and wait to access certain food. Now, Is this 5 Star' I don't think so. On morning 3, I ordered 2 poached eggs, 2 fried eggs arrived, I explained I wanted poached so they were taken away and a 1 baked egg was brought back. I just ate it because I couldn't have been bothered to wait again for my order. After breakfast 3 we made our way to reception to complain about our stay in general, the manager listened, apologised and said he would pass it on to the powers that be. He offered us robes and slippers but we declined as we only had one more night left. He offered me a glass of red wine in our room. Again, I thanked him for his gesture but declined. I don't drink wine and a glass in my room was not going to replace what should have been a little taste of luxury over my days in that hotel. When we arrived back to the hotel that night, there was a chocolate and each of our pillows and we had been given a 2nd hand towel. (Night 3 of 4) We were shocked and amused. Breakfast on the 4th morning was the worst. The breakfast room was very busy when we went down (Sunday Morning) It was full with people at the buffets and people walking around. We were directed in to find our own table in this sea of people, it was chaos. We eventually got a staff member to help us find a table as they all seemed to be full. We got one that someone else had recently departed. Is this 5 Star' I felt like I was in central station. I went to get pancakes but there was only a few broken pieces left. Is this 5 star' The mustard jars that you had to help yourself from were empty. Is this 5 star' Everywhere I turned there was someone queing behind me, so I felt I had to hurry and move along. Butters are served from plastic disposable containers. Is this 5 star' My peppermint tea was a tea bag. Is this 5 star' There was other loose tea, but not loose peppermint. The straw that broke the camels back was when we were leaving, there was such a squash that a lady fell against my friend, who in turn knocked off a man carrying his soft boiled egg which fell off his plate on to the floor and smashed open. Is this 5 star' Should this type of situation ever feature in a 5 star property ever' No, is the answer to that in case you are not entirely sure. We complained again on check out. The receptionist apologised and we were aware not of this is her fault. Its management or the lack of management because NO-ONE was managing that breakfast room. I trusted the brand Radisson up to this point but here is where our relationship ends. I am very disappointed because I was really looking forward to it but I have learned a lesson with this one.
