"'Sexy massage/ erotic massage in the spa'."
Hotel was good. Great staff and rooms, however I, had an uncomfortable experience which I know another gentleman also had. I Paid for an hour long deep tissue massage. It lasted 35 minutes when I didn't want an ,erotic massage' or 'sexy massage'. I was asked this repeatedly throughout, and the lady kept trying to sell me this despite me saying no repeatedly. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I was extremely disappointed and felt ripped off. Hotel was good though, but felt uncomfortable after that experience. Avoid the spa.... unless that's your thing.
"Relax, it's a Blu!"
Stayed here over the Christmas period 2016. I had stayed here before a couple of years ago. As Turkish Airlines had bought a load of new planes Istanbul was calling. Booked on line via The Radisson webpage. I also requested a room with a decent view of the airport. On arrival at Istanbul Airport it was straight out to find the shuttle bus, which runs roughly every half hour. I had a fifteen minute wait so I just relaxed and watched the manic driving going on. The journey takes about 10 minutes but could take longer if the traffic is heavy. Pot luck with traffic! The hotel is ideally located over looking the airport, handy for a short transit stop. The building itself is on a hill, hence the building looks to be 3 different buildings. As you enter the hotel, through a metal detector the main reception area is large and well. There is a bar and plenty of seating in this area. Just to the right is the main check in desks. This task was easily done. The staff were helpful and I was soon on my way to the room. Next to reception is small shop if you have left anything behind. I was allocated room 422, from memory. The room was large and rather hot! Regardless I settled in. There is the usual things you expect from the Radisson Blu chain. The bathroom was a bit small but had bath/shower and a drying line if needed. The complimentary shampoo, handy for my thinning hair. There is a mini bar which is fully stocked with goodies, wine, soda and plenty of nibbles. I take my own coffee as I cant stand the hotel sachets. And the good news is they use a kettle and not one of those stupid coffee machines. The bed was king size, perfect for me to sprawl out on, very comfy as well. The linen was fresh and crisp. They a small comfy chair and foot rest. How ever I was happy using the swivel chair that goes with desk. There are plenty of sockets in the room, they use standard 2-pin European style plugs. I didn't try the Wi-Fi, didn't need it. Breakfast was included in the price. To get to the restaurant it's back down to the reception area and either use the stairs or the lift on the other side of the foyer. The restaurant is large with plenty of staff on hand to give a hand. The breakfast was either cold European style breakfast, yoghurt, fruit, bread etc. Or they had warm beans and chicken sausages, yummy! It was enjoyed and I filled my boots! There is a pool and gym somewhere in the hotel, but as I have said before I don't go away for a work out. It's time to relax. Overall another excellent stay in a chain I can trust. The staff were helpful and cheerful. My only gripe was the room temperature. I tried turning it down myself using the control on the wall. But it wasn't working. Going back down to reception to sort it out it turns out most of the hotel rooms are centrally controlled this time of year. I was offered another room but the view wasn't as good and it had a pillar in the room. Apart from the room temperature my visit went well. The hotel is where it says it is. And there is no noise from the planes taking off. The staff were always on hand to help if needed. Overall another great stay!
"Prostitutes in the spa !!!"
Everything about this hotel was really good nice rooms, nice food and good facilities. We did have a problem with water supply in our room but another room was provided until they fixed it. The main issues I had was when me and my friend went to the spa for a massage, firstly the person giving the massage was terrible like they had no training at all, then they kept asking if I wanted a "sexy massage" or an "erotic massage" they asked my friend the same thing in a different room. After we both refused the women's advances as we are both married they were pissed off and ended the massage awkwardly. This is totally unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Please can you remove the prostitutes from the spa or at least warn people of what it actually is.
"Good location close to airport. Friendly, helpful staff."
The hotel is located close to the airport with a 5/10 min shuttle ride from arrivals to the hotel.Staff are friendly and the rooms spacious, clean and well equipped. We ate in the bar and found the food to be pretty good and overall the costs were very reasonable. A trip into the city will cost you about €30/40 but beware of attempts to rip you off for €80+. Despite its location adjacent to the runway the airport is remarkably quiet and the beds are comfortable. Overall a very good experience and I expect I'll be back.
"Convenient for airport"
Stayed for a night on 31st Dec. Front desk was very slow and communication difficult due to lack of english. Room was ok, but temperature control did not work. Instead the central heating was full blown so had to open the window as the room was too hot. Breakfast spread was good but evening restaurant staff needs more training. We were given bread without butter and short of a plate of dessert during dinner. The grilled chicken was very dry
