This hotel was reasonably comfortable. Although situated on a canal - only suites and business class rooms have a canal view. It's located conveniently near the center of town. The room was clean. The step up into the bathroom is a hazard - especially in the middle of the night! Concierge was not terribly helpful. We requested tickets to the Anne Frank house and were told it was impossible without even trying. The concierge at the hotel where our conference (a different hotel) was taking place told us to check with them at 10 am and they obtained cancellation tickets for that afternoon.
"good not memorable"
grat location.Rijks museum and van gogh about 20 minute walk.many good restaurants nearby. On arrival we upgraded our room to business class for an extra $60.00 per night.Do not waste your money on this offering. If anything this hotel is to expensive for its facilities and rooms. We have done much better in major cities when spending over $300.00 per night
"The Good and the Bad"
The hotel is in a good location .... Thats the good . The Bad .... On arrival , our Business Class Room had no bathrobes , no slippers , no complimentary bottled water , as per " Business Class " facilities . In addition there was no corkscrew , and no heating generally , and in fact no heating in the bathroom '' No heated towel rail and no under floor heating ' Generally the servicing of the room was poor , no provision of toilet rolls . The manager could learn a lot with a visit to Radisson Krakow , Belfast or Prague . In particular Radisson Krakow is a " Super Breakfast" , not Radisson Amsterdam . ......and in addition its the most expensive Radisson hotel I have stayed in ! What I find particularly disappointing , is my experiences of the hotel have been experienced by others previously , and the Manager had promised to rectify ....'' On my departure Elie was sympathetic to my complaints , but other staff showed no interest . Guess its back to the Sofitel for me .....
"Two day visit "
Excellent location in Amsterdam city centre, accessible from Amsterdam central station, staff is friendly, food quality is very good. Excellent spot for business conference or stay in Amsterdam for business or even leisure
"Three night stay after Rhine River Cruise"
We booked a room at Radisson Blu independent of the cruise line "extended stay" option. Saved considerable money by not using cruise line and were able to check in three hours before cruise line passengers could get into their rooms. Great location in Amsterdam. Could easily walk to restaurants, cafes and public transportation. Room was very clean and overlooked atrium area.
