"Good location, great service"
This hotel is well suited to business travelers and tourists. It is centrally located, in easy walking distance to Hackescher Markt, and a city tour bus stop is right at the hotel entrance. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The concierge service is friendly and professional. The fish tank is fascinating.
"Another success from Radisson"
Good location in central Berlin next to the TV tower and 20-30 minutes easy walk to the Brandenburg gate, checkpoint Charlie and loads of museums. Berlin itself is a beautiful city and very easy to explore. Check in was quick if not overly friendly and a room was found despite being very early. The room itself was clean and well appointed with a view over the river looking onto the cathedral. The double glazing was very effective with a quiet and comfy nights sleep. The bar area, as most reviews mention, has a massive fish tank that stands the full height of the atrium lobby. Having a snack with a few drinks looking at the fish was a nice relaxing way to end the day. The attached restaurant served delicious food at sensible prices and also a buffet style breakfast that had a huge selection of hot and cold choices that all looked fresh and appetising. Couldn't fault it. The hotel had a constant selection of conferences going on while we were there and in some hotels that tends to get in the way of looking after ordinary guests but not here. All well handled and service was excellent all round. It does mean though it's perhaps best suited to couples and business travellers as opposed to families. There were no issues on check out but the club Carlson desk was not manned ( as was also the case when we checked in). No big deal but don't promote advantages for members if you aren't going to enforce it. Overall very happy and would not hesitate to recommend or indeed stay here again.
"Enjoyable stay in cool area "
This was a great base of operations for our visit to Berlin. Right next to the river in what used to be East Berlin, the hotel had functional clean and nice rooms with a very cool massive multilevel aquarium in the lobby. Breakfast was included and great (either inside or out). Staff were helpful and the hotel is well situated within walking distance to many cool tourist spots. Check out the amazing East Germany/DDR museum right next door - ultra cool!
"Central, lovely hotel"
I loved this hotel. The giant aquarium in the lobby is amazing. Hotel is clean and high standard. Staff friendly and very helpful. Only spent one night, but the bar area has good ambience, the rooms were really great. Only small grumble was that the shower fixture meant I had to hand hold it and the tub did not empty as quickly as the water flowed, but that is quite minor. I will definitely be back here when I come to Berlin again.
"Excellent Stay at This Hotel"
We stayed here for seven days in August 2016. Everything about this place was first class. We were greeted at the counter by a very courteous person who explained everything to us. Since we are Club Carlson Gold members, we were automatically upgraded at no charge. She offered us another upgrade if we bought the breakfast package. We decided to accept her offer and got a splendid room on the corner. The Breakfast - It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, but never found a breakfast like this one. It's expensive, but well worth the money. As vacationers, it was refreshing to start the day with such an excellent breakfast. And I'm still miss eating smoked salmon every morning. The breakfast staff gave us excellent service. The Room - Ok, we didn't get a balcony room, but we got a nice corner room. It was excellent. The amazing thing with this hotel is that there were people outside our window every night, and we didn't hear a thing. They must have super-insulated windows, because we never had a better night's sleep. The staff brought us a welcome gift for being Gold status. Got a bed turn down every night, which was nice. The Restaurant - I think they call it the "H". We ate there three nights since we were tired and didn't want to venture out far. Excellent cuisine. No complaints. Just a head's up that it's not what I would call a "German" restaurant. I would call it more "European". The Neighborhood - Can't get a more central located place. We bought the Berlin Pass for six days and two SBahn stations were close by, bus service just a block away, and even trams on the east side. Never felt unsafe at any time. Also, the Spree River cruises are right outside the door. Berlin Cathedral is also next door. A thank you to the concierge guy at the desk who made our first day much less stressful. He fixed us up with our Berlin Card away we went for the day. The people at the bar were very accommodating. The Room Service - I've never had better room service than this place. The ladies who cleaned our room every day did an excellent job. And they always said hi to us in the hallway. When we go back to Berlin again, this place will definitely be at the top of our list.
