Only had breakfast at the hotel which was excellent, plenty of choice and you could eat as much as you liked,. All staff were friendly and very helpful especially the reception staff and Piotr the bar supervisor. The location is excellent, we would definitely stop there again if visiting Krakow. "It is now my No.1 hotel in Krakow"
I used to stay in a boutique hotel in Kraków, whenever I visited the city. After my experience with Radisson BLU, I will definitely come back to this one. First of all, the location of the hotel is great as it is 2-3 minutes from the Main Square but in a quieter part of the old town – off the track of the noisy weekend-night crowds. The hotel is also very close to the Wawel castle. The front desk staff was very welcoming even though we could tell they were super busy with lots of guests checking-in. We were offered an upgrade to a top floor business class rooms for a reasonable price upon our arrival and it was a good decision to take it. Our room was very specious, clean, well designed, nicely furnished, had a comfortable king-size bed and a view on the castle. What else do you need during a weekend stay' I am always picky when it comes to the hotel bathrooms that are quite often completely non-functional. Fortunately, this was not a case at Radisson BLU. As the weather was terrible in the afternoon of the second day of our stay, we decided to go downstairs to the bar and have some cocktails there. The drinks were good, we also had a pizza and a burger there – simple menu but tasty. As it was cold outside and the rain was pouring we enjoyed our late afternoon and evening at the cozy bar sitting by the big windows, sipping drinks and watching people walking in the rain. Breakfast was very good - all of us found food they liked (including a 7YO kid). There is one negative comment I have to make about the cleaning staff: As the hotel is probably 99% occupied by foreigners the staff is used to not being understood by the guests. When were passing by the cleaning ladies on our way to take short walk by the Vistula river before we leave the city, we heard them complaining about us not leaving the room yet. They didn’t even whisper they were talking out loud, even stating our room #. I am sure they had no clue we understood every single word they said as we had poker faces and didn’t bother to comment on what we were hearing. The comment was made more than 2 hours prior the check-out time. Despite this little imperfection I strongly recommend this hotel.
"Not quite as expected"
Well, everything was quite okay, but not more. To feel welcome, it would have been nice to find a big bottle of free water on the table, and bathroom slippers in the closet. This kind of service, which I know from other 5-star hotels, gives a good feeling. Too expensive for the hotel' Add the few dollars for these little amenities to the room rate. The ugly view from the window of our standard room was another nuisance. To end up with some positive impressions, the free WiFi was fast and the staff friendly and supportive.
The hotel staff were excellent, the room was beautiful, the hotel even provided a surprise birthday cake which was placed in our room when we got back from a sightseeing tour. Food was delicious. All in all a perfect stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
"Good quality hotel"
This hotel is smart, modern and all the required facilities for a business and leisure stay including gym. The breakfast is very good, with plenty of choice. Very close to the old town and Wawel castle. The tram stop is just outside the hotel along with a machine to purchase tickets by cash or card. 2.80 zloty (c. 50p) for a 20 minute trip. The downside is that the front and side of the hotel is on the road and trams run very late at night and early morning (4:30) and are noisy. Car park is underground in the hotel along with hotel bike hire.
"Visit in Radisson Blu Krakow"
Magnificent hotel. Perfect location to reach all centers on interest in Krakow. I am a frequent visitor of Krakow and this is one of the best. Clean rooms, good working bathroom (which is not always the case even in luxurious hotels). Definitely recommendable.
